Provides origin to destination service for people. If necessary, COLTS drivers can help you to the door. All COLTS vans are equipped with a lift to assist in accessing the vehicle if the lift and vehicle and physically accommodate the customer. The vans also have safety straps for mobility devices.
Fixed route service, known as 'The LYNX' operates throughout Carbon County and to some points outside the County, such as the Mall area in Whitehall. Door-to-door shared-ride service is available to people with disabilities and older adults who have difficulty accessing the regular transit system. Prospective passengers apply for shared-ride services by completing an application and must call in advance to schedule trips. Applications are available online or at the office. Some riders may qualify for subsidized or free services.

Services operate Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on STEP-observed holidays and are available to anyone living in or visiting Lycoming and Clinton counties. Transportation is available to travel anywhere within the service area consisting of the following counties: Lycoming, Clinton, Centre, Union, Northumberland, Columbia, Snyder, and Montour. Transportation fares per one-way trip are based on ride sponsorships and a zone-based, miles-driven fare structure. Refer to the fares and sponsorship information for more information. Consumers must reserve their ride before noon of the preceding business day. Some consumers may be eligible for enrollment in transportation sponsoring programs, which make fares reasonable.

Local Bus Services
Provides door-to-door transportation service to individuals who are functionally unable to use SEPTA's main services. Rides are scheduled by an automated reservation and scheduling program that searches for available times.
Transportation services are provided through an agreement with Community Transit of Delaware County. Community Transit is a shared-ride transportation network, providing services to those unable to use public transportation, lacking access to public transportation routes, or those needing more specialized services.

If you are a Medical Assistance recipient, you may be eligible to get help with transportation to and from medical appointments and care. Transportation is provided by the County of Lackawanna Transportation System (COLTS). The Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) is a transportation service available to Medical Assistance consumers in Lackawanna County. MATP is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. MATP can help you get to medical care or services from a Medical Assistance Provider by providing transportation or mileage reimbursement.

Offers a reduced fare program to assist persons with disabilities in fulfilling their transportation needs. STEP is availabe in the general service area of the Luzerne County Transportation Authority. The program permits approved persons with disabilities to ride on vans operated by LCTA Shared Ride. Out of county trips to Lackawanna County only.
