The Senior Free Transit Program is made possible through funding by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The program offers free public bus transportation for senior citizens ages 65 and over on all routes at all times.

Provides CAT bus passes to assit with transportion needs to look for employment and/or travel to employment for clients enrolled in our services.

Helps individuals stabilize transportation to support employment, job search, or education and vocational training. Depending on available funds, assistance may include financial help for car repairs, gas cards, insurance payments, loan payments, PennDOT Services, AAA memberships, car seats, and Pittsburgh Regional Transit CONNECT cards.

Provides bus tokens and/or passes on a limited basis to transport shelter and transitional/rapid re-housing program participants as well as individuals experiencing homelessness and families to necessary appointments such as medical visits, job interviews, etc.

Serves as an outreach program that works with other programs to avoid duplication of services. Provides a food pantry, referrals, bus passes, utility relief, prescription assistance, spiritual care, and special seasonal/holiday programs.

Provides emergency financial assistance to help with rent, utilities, gasoline, local bus passes, and prescriptions. Offers vouchers for clothing. Limited to once a year.

Provides assistance with medical issues; help with prescriptions, medical supplies/equipment, dental and visual (glasses) assistance , transportation to appointments out of town, bus passes for reaching medical treatment in town, hygiene items, and clinical pastoral counseling.

Assists with the following bills: medical (physician verified), prescriptions (must receive fax from doctor's office verifying prescription), electric (no CAP recipients), gas (no CAP recipients), water, local phone bill payment/connection (up to $20), and bus passes/gas vouchers (employment or medical purposes).

Serves and responds to the needs of veterans experiencing homelessness. Offers services that include shelter, hot meals, shower facilities, laundry services, transportation, medical equipment, furniture and household items, hygiene products, and more.

Provides transitional transportation assistance and minimizes barriers that prevent persons from being hired and becoming dependable employees. Provides transportation through bus passes, Shared-Ride Transportation, Taxi, mileage reimbursement, child care transportation. Participants may receive benefits for a maximum of one year, with a lifetime amount of benefits. Provides case management form STEP staff, who coordinate progress and target a selection of needed services.

Operates as a regional public transportation provider. Offers a variety of transportation services to the residents of Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Franklin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Union, and York Counties. Provides the following services: A Transfer Station, Express Services to Harrisburg (15N), Freedom Transit, Ride the trolley, Transit Connections, Freedom Transit connects via the 15N rabbitEXPRESS to Amtrak- Harrisburg Station and a connection to the Harrisburg International Airport (HIA/MDT) via the Capital Area Transit (CAT) bus, and also connects to the 83N.

Assists Warren County, PA families who have a child diagnosed with a serious illness with reimbursement for medical related expenses regardless of family income. Reimburses for travel expenses as well as the cost of medical appointments. Sends the family a care package since most families are unprepared with toiletries, clothing, and things to entertain their child/children.

Provides emergency assistance for any heating source, fuel, water, medication, clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation, information and referral, and other expenses as funding allows. Cannot provide assistance for funeral related costs or narcotic prescriptions.

Provides emergency assistance for families with children who are in school. Examples of assistance include rent, doctor appointments, dental needs, utilities and transportation.

Provides emergency assistance to people in need when no other assistance is available.
