Serves and enforces all orders of the county Court of Common Pleas. Serves bench warrants and civil writs and protection from abuse orders, enforces child custody orders, issues concealed weapons permits and firearms sales licenses, provides security and protection for the court of common pleas and court related functions, provides security for the courthouse complex and other county court offices, keeps the peace in the county, transports prisoners to and from county, state and federal institutions for court appearances, arrests violators of the law and fugitives, assists other law-enforcement agencies in the county as requested in periods of emergency, conducts levies, sales of personal property and real estate.

Enforces all orders of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas and provides security for all court related functions. Transports prisoners to and from county, state and federal institutions for court appearances. Enforces the Pennsylvania Crimes Code and Motor Vehicle Code. Operates the county Central Booking Center. Executes warrants of arrest and extradites fugitives from justice. Assists other law-enforcement agencies in Berks County in activities such as the Berks County Drug Task Force, Operation Nightlight, crowd control, traffic control, K-9 searches for fugitives, narcotics and explosives, and security for community events. Conduct levies and sales of personal property and real estate. Issues Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms and License to Sell Firearms.
