The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has the following duties: - To serve and enforce all orders of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas - To serve bench warrants and civil writs - To serve protection from abuse orders - To enforce child custody orders - To issue concealed weapons permits and firearms sales licenses - To provide security and protection for the court of common pleas and court related functions - To provide security for the courthouse complex and other Lancaster County Court offices - To keep the peace in the county - To transport prisoners to and from county, state and federal institutions for court appearances - To arrest violators of the law and fugitives - To provide a K-9 explosive detection unit - To assist other law-enforcement agencies in the county as requested in periods of emergency - To assist in special law-enforcement efforts such as Weed and Seed and community events - To conduct levies, sales of personal property and real

Serves bench warrants and civil writs and protection from abuse orders, enforces child custody orders, issues concealed weapons permits and firearms sales licenses, provides security and protection for the court of common pleas and court related functions, provides security for the courthouse complex and other county court offices, keeps the peace in the county, transports prisoners to and from county, state and federal institutions for court appearances, arrests violators of the law and fugitives, assists other law-enforcement agencies in the county as requested in periods of emergency, conducts levies, sales of personal property and real estate.

Enforces all orders of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas and provides security for all court related functions. Transports prisoners to and from county, state and federal institutions for court appearances. Enforces the Pennsylvania Crimes Code and Motor Vehicle Code. Operates the county Central Booking Center. Executes warrants of arrest and extradites fugitives from justice. Assists other law-enforcement agencies in Berks County in activities such as the Berks County Drug Task Force, Operation Nightlight, crowd control, traffic control, K-9 searches for fugitives, narcotics and explosives, and security for community events. Conduct levies and sales of personal property and real estate. Issues Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms and License to Sell Firearms.

Enforces laws throughout Franklin County and provides services including concealed carry permits, personal property sales, real estate sales, and sheriff civil service.

Issues concealed weapons permits.
