Repository for land records for Lancaster County. Responsible for recording and storing records of all real estate transactions (deeds, mortgages). Access to all transactions and deeds is available online.

Evaluates all residential and commercial properties in the county. Updates changes in property characteristics occurring through improvements or deterioration. Handles informal and formal review for court-ordered property reassessments.

Records all deeds, mortgages, leases, and other miscellaneous real estate documents; commissions and bonds for county officials; real estate related UCC liens; subdivisions, land development, and highway plans; and Notary Public commissions, renewals, and changes. Also collects local and state real estate transfer taxes, affordable housing fees, judicial fees, and writ taxes.

Official County Recorder of all deeds, mortgages, leases and other miscellaneous real estate documents. Collects local and state real estate transfer taxes, affordable housing fees, judicial fees and writ taxes. Records all Notary Public commissions, renewals and changes and also swears in all Notary Publics. Records all real estate related Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) liens. Records all subdivisions, land development and highway plans. Records all commissions and bonds for County Officials. Records and maintains military discharge (DD214) papers free of charge.

Serves as the governing legislative body for Carbon County. Oversees county operations, including administration/ human resources, economic development, corrections, court services, emergency services, fiscal affairs, human services, public works, and the offices of the Coroner, Public Defender, Sheriff, and Solicitor.

Offers the general population access to public city records, including but not limited to: A) Real estate and land records B) Financial disclosures C) Regulatory public notices
