Family Centers, located at Jefferson and Central Elementary Schools, coordinate and facilitate a variety of support services for Allentown School District families. Family Centers seek to ensure the healthy growth and development of children by coordinating a wide variety of support services for families in the communities in which they live. These services include:

• Pediatric Health Services
• Healthy After-School and Summer Activities
• Family Preservation Services
• Education and Employment-Related Services

Family Development Specialist certified in parent education home visits meet groups of parent sand provide assessments and support to parents for their children from pregnancy through kindergarten. Offers K-12 out-of-school programming that fosters an inclusive, informal learning environment for children, teens, and families, with accessible learning activities that build on life skills, Maker philosophies, and wellness concepts. Offers free homework assistance. Introduces hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and Humanities programming. Promotes a love of reading and literacy.

Provides safe spaces and enriching activities for youth after school that support critical thinking, social skills, and academic achievement. Located at these schools: George W. Childs, Newlin Fell, Southwark Elementary, Vare-Washington Elementary, and Horace Howard Furness High - 21st Century Community Learning Center. Also located at Mamie Nichols Center.

Offers educational, recreational, therapeutic, cultural and social activities during the after school hours in locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region for children with disabilities.

Provides child care and preschool programming. Offers full-day preschool, before and after school programming, and full-day summer program for school-aged children.

Provides a licensed childcare center offering preschool, before and after school programs, hot and cold breakfast, lunch and snacks, after school homework help, emergency care for snow days and early dismissals, and other days off from school.

Offers a program for youth ages 12 to 17, providing life skills training, trauma-informed care, financial literacy training, and workforce development. Youth enrolled in the program are required to be present at NOMO North Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Health and wellness services include personal and small group training, fitness consultations, exercise classes, virtual workouts, and nutrition counseling. Youth programs include camps, gymnatics, sports, dance, art, music, science, martial arts, swimming lessons, recreational and competitive swimming, college readiness, civic engagement, and career readiness. Also offers special needs programs.

Provides before school, after school, and all-inclusive (before and after care, plus full-day and half-day off care) child care for schoolchildren in Morrisville. Includes youth programs, healthy snacks, homework time, and physical activity.
