In addition to daily activities, offers swimming, movie day, bowling, picnics, and various other outings. Offers a nutritious meal throughout the summer. Offers a one-on-one homework assistance and a warm nutritious meal throughout the school year. Many of our activities are learning-based and incorporate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Provides extended day care services for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children located in the Belle Vernon area.

Provides a free meal and a safe space for lower income, at-risk children. Along with a meal, homework assistance and recreational activities are available.

Participants produce four to six original pieces of writing per year in the genres of narrative writing, informative writing, descriptive writing, and poetry. Offers after-school academic and social enrichment program for students in the 1st through 5th grade who reside within the Mon Valley region. The program provides students with a safe and educational place to spend their weekday afternoons and evenings. Offers program to improve their math and reading skills by using an online curriculum called Study Island. Students are also provided homework help, plus time for arts and crafts and recreation.

Operates an after-school teen center to provide youth with free social, educational, and recreational opportunities in a safe environment. Dinner is served each evening.

Offers a program for youth ages 12 to 17, providing life skills training, trauma-informed care, financial literacy training, and workforce development. Youth enrolled in the program are required to be present at NOMO North Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Children also have time to tackle homework with the help of well-trained Y staff who know how to challenge and listen to them. If a child is enrolled in the School-Age Enrichment program, per request, they can be matched with a pre-qualified Big Brother or Big Sister. A healthy breakfast and snack is included in your daily rate as well as transportation to and from school.
