Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA - School Aged Child Care

Offering before and after school child care for Shikellamy School District students, in Kindergarten through 6th grades. Service is offered at Beck Elementary School in Sunbury and Priestley Elementary School in Northumberland. Students can use their time to complete homework or participate in physical activity, games and crafts. Hours of care are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 8:30am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm.

After school programs are held in collaboration with participating school districts in Northumberland County. School faculty and staff provide student referrals for programming. Programming provides supervised care and activities to build skills for literacy. Assistance with homework is also provided. This supportive environment aims to foster social and emotional skills that will help students build self confidence in academics at school. There is no cost for this program.
