Offers free homework assistance. Introduces hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and Humanities programming. Promotes a love of reading and literacy.

Offers a range of programming for persons of all ages. Health and wellness services include personal and small group training, fitness consultations, exercise classes, virtual workouts, and nutrition counseling. Youth programs include camps, gymnatics, sports, dance, art, music, science, martial arts, swimming lessons, recreational and competitive swimming, college readiness, civic engagement, and career readiness. Also offers special needs programs.

Provides safe spaces and enriching activities for youth after school that support critical thinking, social skills, and academic achievement. Located at these schools: George W. Childs, Newlin Fell, Southwark Elementary, Vare-Washington Elementary, and Horace Howard Furness High - 21st Century Community Learning Center. Also located at Mamie Nichols Center.

Offers various recreational programs, day camps and after school programs.

Offers a mentoring program where teen leaders provide individualized assistance to the After-School Program children to complete their homework, develop social and emotional skills, and act as role models for the children. This is a paid position.

Provides a before and after school program. Before school, students are bused to Carbondale Area Elementary. After school, students are bused from Carbondale Area and Lakeland schools to the YMCA.

Services for families that are required to travel far and spend several extended time away from home in order to receive medical care for their ill child at Janet Weis Children's Hospital. Services meet familiesâ day-to-day needs so they can remain close to their child while under medical care. Overnight lodging is also available at the Ronald McDonald House to provide relief of the financial burden on budgets already strained by medical expenses. The lodging includes guest rooms with private bathrooms, efficiency rooms with kitchenettes and private bathrooms for families with children diagnosed with cancer and in outpatient treatment, a kitchen stocked with staple products, a laundry room stocked with laundry products, a living room, a private sunroom, an interior play room, an exterior playground, public TV rooms,a front exterior patio and public Wi-Fi.

Provides structured activities including science, group projects, environmental awareness, arts and crafts, games, sports components, field trips, and more. Children also have time to tackle homework with the help of well-trained Y staff who know how to challenge and listen to them. If a child is enrolled in the School-Age Enrichment program, per request, they can be matched with a pre-qualified Big Brother or Big Sister. A healthy breakfast and snack is included in your daily rate as well as transportation to and from school.
