Based at Barkley Elementary School, PAPA's Move Ahead after-school program helps students in grades 2 through 5 strengthen their academic and social skills. Services available include healthcare services/clinics, family literacy programs, PAT (an in-home parenting program for 0-5 years old) summer recreational and enrichment programs, information and referral to other community resources. Parent/Community members should contact their school for information. Community School provide support and resources to families and community members at Broughal Middle School, Donegan Elementary, Fountain Hill Elementary, Lincoln Elementary and William Penn Elementary.

Services: - Pre-K Counts - Before/after-school child care

Provides school age child care before and after school for full-day Kindergarten through 6th Grade in the Quakertown School District. Provides transportation to and from all elementary schools in the Quakertown Area School District. Includes learning centers, homework time, structured gym classes, weekly swim time (after school), group projects and games.

Provides recreational and educational services such as: Homework Support (Tutoring, book clubs, study skills), Arts & Humanities, Character Development, Service Learning, Social Competence, Conflict Resolution, Health & Wellness, Fitness, Computer Competence and Special Events.

Provides English language instruction, academic support and enrichment, literacy instruction, project-based learning, and exposure to arts and culture. Also offers academic support, physical activity, and cross-cultural experiences.

Assists improvement of academic outcomes for Latino youth, while simultaneously building students’ pride in their native language and heritage. Program goals include academic advancement, cultural empowerment, social-emotional development, and family engagement. Students who participate in SOY Pgh also receive a snack and dinner daily.

After school programs are held in collaboration with participating school districts in Northumberland County. School faculty and staff provide student referrals for programming. Programming provides supervised care and activities to build skills for literacy. Assistance with homework is also provided. This supportive environment aims to foster social and emotional skills that will help students build self confidence in academics at school. There is no cost for this program.

Offers Fitness programs for children and adults, Youth sports programs, before and after-school child care (Dover School District and Central School District), an Active older adult exercise program, and part-day child care for preschool-age children, ages 2-5 years.

Provides an after school program that offers children a variety of activities such as four square, video games, use of computers, board games, and music, or they may utilize a quieter room to do homework or read. Supervision during programming is provided by adult volunteers.
