Before/After school care is available at the YMCA for children attending elementary school and will transport children to local schools. Care is available before and after school and on days when school is closed. Provides free access to healthy snacks and meals.

Offers K-12 out-of-school programming that fosters an inclusive, informal learning environment for children, teens, and families, with accessible learning activities that build on life skills, Maker philosophies, and wellness concepts. Offers free homework assistance. Introduces hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and Humanities programming. Promotes a love of reading and literacy.

Provides childcare and early learning programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, and before- and after-school age students. Also offers a summer camp.

Presents activities that emphasize reading and following instructions through cooking, arts & crafts, and theater. Provides tutors (volunteers from Messiah College) daily to assist with homework. Organizes special activities surrounding the holidays. Operates a Kids Cafe that provides an evening meal for each student. Offers Peer Helpers: Teen-aged students perform responsible leadership helper roles between staff and their younger peers.

Offers after school care, including time for outdoor free play, opportunities for hands-on learning, and homework assistance.

A cooperative program between the School District of Lancaster and the Lancaster Rec to provide quality, state-licensed school age child care. Care is provided before school, after school and on school holidays and in-service days. Before and after school programs include snacks, recreation, homework assistance, special events and free time. Breakfast is available through the school for a fee based on income. Offers developmentally appropriate educational program for children year round. Includes meals and snacks.

Offers a range of programming for persons of all ages. Health and wellness services include personal and small group training, fitness consultations, exercise classes, virtual workouts, and nutrition counseling. Youth programs include camps, gymnatics, sports, dance, art, music, science, martial arts, swimming lessons, recreational and competitive swimming, college readiness, civic engagement, and career readiness. Also offers special needs programs.

Before School Care and After School Care

Provides before and after school enrichment. If a child is enrolled in the School-Age Enrichment program, per request, they can be matched with a pre-qualified Big Brother or Big Sister. A healthy breakfast and snack is included in your daily rate as well as transportation to and from school.

Private school

Provides after-school and summer inclusion programs for youth, with and without disabilities. The program focuses on improving graduation rates, reducing dropout rates, and helping participants build academic, transition, social, and behavioral skills.

Offers Out of School Time program five days per week for during the school year and throughout the summer.

Provides Before and After School Fun Club. All locations offers supervision and homework assistance, recreation, socialization, and a snack.

Provides before and after school care, full care on no-school days, and care for 2 hour delays. Participates in interactive learning models that engage critical thinking skills, assists with homework from trained YMCA staff, and have a chance to socialize with each other and form long-lasting friendships that enhance their development, growth and self-confidence. STEM, literacy, and physical acitivites involved.

Provides child care services for school-age children in the New Kensington-Arnold, Freeport Area, Allegheny Valley, Burrell, and Kiski Area School Districts.
