Offers a mentoring program where teen leaders provide individualized assistance to the After-School Program children to complete their homework, develop social and emotional skills, and act as role models for the children. This is a paid position.

A cooperative program between the School District of Lancaster and the Lancaster Rec to provide quality, state-licensed school age child care. Care is provided before school, after school and on school holidays and in-service days. Before/After school care is available at the YMCA for children attending elementary school and will transport children to local schools. Care is available before and after school and on days when school is closed. Provides free access to healthy snacks and meals.

Offers after school programming for up to 100 Patterson Elementary School students. Guest speakers visit the after school program to make educational presentations, particularly those focused on health and safety. Services are offered to latchkey, extended day students, and their siblings. All activities are available on weekdays only. Family Development Specialist certified in parent education home visits meet groups of parent sand provide assessments and support to parents for their children from pregnancy through kindergarten.
