A cooperative program between the School District of Lancaster and the Lancaster Rec to provide quality, state-licensed school age child care. Care is provided before school, after school and on school holidays and in-service days. Before and after school programs include snacks, recreation, homework assistance, special events and free time. Breakfast is available through the school for a fee based on income. A school-based, 12-week skill-building program for youth who exhibit leadership potential. Students work as a team after school to plan and implement a service-learning project of their choice that benefits their school and community. LFG participants are eligible to attend Kids Kamp overnight camp in June.

Enable youth to improve their functioning in the home, school and community by providing structured treatment services during the afternoon and evening hours. Provides therapeutic activities such as: social skills activities, sharing and listening activities, partner time activities, therapeutic recreation, homework time, community field trips and family outreach.

Programs for children to have a safe, fun place before and after school.

Provides education-based services for children ages 3 months to 12 years, before and after school care, and transportation that is available to Jackson, McKinley, Hannah Penn, Lincoln Charter, York Academy, and Logos Academy. Offers volunteer opportunities for donations and special projects.

Provides assistance to African and Caribbean immigrants through outreach services, case management, information and referral, and life skills workshops. Provides case management and referral services and helps refugees and asylees access public services and benefits they are eligible for. Provides culturally appropriate orientation on adjusting to the American way of life. Eliminates impediments through education and resource mobilization. Assists with accessing training, language skills, certifications, etc. Assists older refugees and asylees access needed services. Provides after school programs to refugee and asylee youth through cultural training and after school and youth development program.

Provides a safe place for the children to go before and after their school day. Whether doing their homework, playing in the gym/on the playground or working on crafts, the children learn how to work with each other and become a team.

Provides after school programming offering tutoring, mentoring, cultural activities, STEM skill-building, safety education and nutritional support.

Provides English language instruction, academic support and enrichment, literacy instruction, project-based learning, and exposure to arts and culture. Also offers academic support, physical activity, and cross-cultural experiences.

Offers the following at this location:

• Head Start program: 5 hours day, extended child care available

Childcare provided on scheduled in-service days and scheduled half days when there is no school. Center must have a total of 10 registrants to offer school's out days. Offers half and full day costs. First come, first served basis.

After school program focused on developing character education, learning conflict resolution skills, and building self-esteem and social skills to enhance positive peer relationships.

Offers a Christian-based day care, preschool, and summer and afterschool programs.

Provides structured activities including science, group projects, environmental awareness, arts and crafts, games, sports components, field trips, and more. Children also have time to tackle homework with the help of well-trained Y staff who know how to challenge and listen to them. If a child is enrolled in the School-Age Enrichment program, per request, they can be matched with a pre-qualified Big Brother or Big Sister. A healthy breakfast and snack is included in your daily rate as well as transportation to and from school.

Family centers provide families with a network of services accessible through local schools. Services available include healthcare services/clinics, family literacy programs, PAT (an in-home parenting program for 0-5 years old) summer recreational and enrichment programs, information and referral to other community resources. Family Centers are located at: Broughal Middle School 114 W Morton St, Bethlehem 18015 Donegan Elementary 1210 D 4th St, Bethlehem 18017 Marvine Elementary 1425 Livingston St, Bethlehem 18017 After school and summer programs available at some school. Parent/Community members should contact their school for information. Community School provide support and resources to families and community members at Broughal Middle School, Donegan Elementary, Fountain Hill Elementary, Lincoln Elementary and William Penn Elementary.
