After School Care for children in grades K-8 Children are provided a snack upon arrival. Staff assists with homework and reading activities. In addition, children have time for physical recreation is the gym.

Community Service has more than 500 supervised academic, athletic, community outreach and performance-oriented co-curricular programs are available in the District, from elementary school technology clubs to high school varsity sports. In addition to serving student programs, the District's facilities are utilized by thousands of community members for enrichment programs, recreation and general use. The program works with faculty, parents and students at the ten schools to promote existing service efforts, provide resources and develop new service opportunities and programs.

Preschool, Pre-K, before and after school care

Provides tutoring, poetry, yoga, photography, dance, drumming, technology courses and other project-based learning (PBL) enrichment activities.

Offers an after school program for middle- and high school youth of the African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee community. Services include homework help, positive acculturation support, career/vocational guidance, general health and sexual/reproductive health education, nutrition education, and sports and other recreational activities. Also extends the program to Bartram High School campus once a week. Offered from October through June; intake is flexible, and students can join at any time.

Before-school program “Wake Up, Washington” includes hands-on educational activities and breakfast for all participants. Available to current Washington Elementary School students.

Provides full and part-time day care. Offers latchkey before and after school.

Offers school age child care that develops the whole child, including character development. Children participating in the School Age Program will take part in a variety of activities, including homework support, art, science & technology and physical play.

Offers recreational activities for adults and youth, community events and programs, facility and equipment rental. Hosts area scouting groups, karate classes, community parties, and an annual strawberry festival held in June. Free summer playground program for area youth.
