Probation services are a mandate of the Court of Common Pleas; ensuring the legal accountability of those individuals under its supervision. Probation services include individualized direction, client centered goal coordination, the effective use of community-based resources and the swift and consistent administration of prescribed sanctions.

Provides supervision for those individuals who are placed on probation, parole or ARD. This office also supervises those offenders placed on house arrest, work release, furlough, bail supervision or those who are ordered to perform community service. The Probation Officer makes an appropriate referral for the offender to receive the proper treatment or counseling.

Offers individualized treatment using supervision, community resources, and programs that will direct individuals toward a successful reintegration into the community and to aid the court in sentencing and treatment programs.

Provides case preparation for court, probation and parole supervision, and individual and family counseling.

Provides the Court of Common Pleas and community an effective and efficient delivery of correctional services involving the supervision of both Adult and Juvenile offenders being especially concerned with public safety along with coordinating activities designed to allow offenders to become productive members of society. Youth in this program receive 22 to 25 hours of community based activities per week as well as intensive supervision. Activities include sessions focusing on drug and alcohol issues, sexual health, career development, community resources, and skill development. Additionally, all youth participate in activities coordinated in conjunction with Philadelphia organizations and grassroots efforts. Youth workers monitor school attendance and curfew, and report adjustment and recommendations back to the court.

Monitors criminal offenders living and working in the community. Aids offenders in their rehabilitation into the community and ensures the safety and protection of both victims and residents through probation/parole officers. Provides the following services: Pre-release, Presentence Investigation, DAPP, EM/HA, SCRAM, SCRAMX, and payment division. Also includes: Sexual Offenders, Mental Health Offenders, DRC, DUI, Probation with Restrictive Conditions, and Work Release.

Provides individualized wraparound services to justice-involved women to help them with meet basic needs, find employment, and access stable housing. Provides comprehensive case management services.
