Office of the Victim Advocate - Address Confidentiality Program

Provides victims with an alternate mailing address to keep their actual home address out of public records where their perpetrator may find their location. The confidential address may be used as a legal address for court and government records, including driver’s licenses, non-photo ID cards, vehicle registration, school records, voter registration, marriage licenses, and court petitions. The ACP forwards all first-class, registered and certified mail to the participant, free of charge.

Allegheny County Office of Children, Youth, and Families - Regional Office Services

Provides a range of prevention, protection, and supportive services with an emphasis on family preservation whenever possible. Caseworkers provide emergency and planned temporary out-of-home care when necessary to a small percentage of children active with the agency. Works to reunite families whenever possible. When reunification is not a possibility, Caseworkers work to provide a permanent, legally assured home through adoption or permanent legal custodianship. Children who age out of the system transition into independent living services. Services are provided directly by caseworkers, CYF support staff and by a network of contracted agencies.

Monroe County Children and Youth Services - Intensive In-Home Services

Developed to work with families where a child has been identified to be at risk of abuse and neglect. IIHS is a treatment oriented unit where caseworkers use reality based therapeutic techniques designed to empower clients to make changes themselves to reduce the risk of abuse to the child. The goal of the unit is to protect children and youth while keeping families together. In addition to counseling, IIHS offers Life Skills Education, Parenting Education, Parent and Youth Advisors and 24 hour crisis intervention.
