Provides victims with the following: An Orientation to the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Systems; Accompaniment to Court Proceedings; Assistance with Filing a Crime Victims Compensation Claim; Assistance with Preparing a Victim Impact Statement; Notification of Case Status; Enrollment in the State and Local Correctional Release Notification Programs; Prior Comment on Possibility of Reducing or Dropping Charges; and Community Referrals.

Provides advocates who perform a variety of functions, including: offering comfort to patients in the trauma bay, updating families about their loved ones’ conditions, providing grief support to families of homicide victims, linking survivors to crime victim services, and offering emotional support to patients after they’ve been discharged from the hospital.

Provides services to victims and witnesses of crimes, including case notification, case management, crisis and supportive counseling, impact statement development and assistance, restitution assistance, victim compensation assistance, legal advocacy, liasion with district attorney and law enforcement for criminal proceedings, and registration for notification of offenders release, escape, or transfer from prison.

Provides accompaniment and assistance with a variety of paperwork and proceedings. A counselor/advocate is available to accompany and provide support to a victim when they go to the hospital to receive emergency treatment, when reporting the crime to the police, when completing victim impact statements or when appearing for legal proceedings. Additionally, an advocate can assist with filing an order for Protection from Abuse (PFA), Protection from Intimidation (PFI), and Protection of Victims of Sexual Assault (PSVI), restitution claims, and victim compensation claims.

Combats violence by intervening where violence is most prevalent. Works to provide those involved in criminal activities with positive alternatives. Responds to neighborhood crises with mediation and resources to support anyone looking for a peaceful alternative.

Uses a credible messenger model to prevent and reduce gun violence in Philadelphia’s most violent neighborhoods. Provides teams of crisis workers / credible messengers who ride and walk-through assigned Police Service Areas, mediate conflicts, and build meaningful relationships in the community to help prevent violence. Also provides outreach and referrals to resources to victims of violence crime.

Offers a variety of services: a 24-hour hotline, a 24-hour accompaniment to hospital, Police interview accompaniment, Legal advocacy, Individual and group counseling, Art therapy, Crime prevention education programs, Information & referral, Homicide support group, Homicide advocate rapid response team, York County Alliance Against Sexual Violence, Adult survivors of incest support group, Suicide survivors support group, Teens on the move (T.O.M.) teens doing education and prevention of sexual violence for teens, Suicide survivors support group-call Lexi Livelsberger for location.

Provides free and confidential supportive services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and violent crimes, and their loved ones.

Offers a variety of strengths-based confidential counseling services for survivors of domestic violence.

Provides advocacy, victim's rights groups, navigation assistance, and accompaniment for victims of abuse as they navigate the criminal justice system. Includes criminal justice navigation, police interview accompaniment, court accompaniment, post-conviction support, and victim compensation assistance program claim filing.

Supports victims/survivors and their eligible family members by providing information and assistance to ease the financial burdens they may face as a result of a crime through application to the PA Victims' Compensation Program. Advocates provide trauma informed support through the application process and management of the claim should the survivor want continued support.

ARD Program: The ARD Program (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) is a pre-trial diversionary program administered by the District Attorney's Office. After the preliminary hearing is held or waived a defendant may file an application in the District Attorney's Office. Private Complaints: With the exception of private bad check complaints, the District Attorney's office must approve all Private Complaints involving either a misdemeanor or felony. A private complaint is one brought by a citizen either without police involvement or where the police declined to get involved. Private Summary citations (minor offenses such as harassment) that are not accepted by a Magisterial District Justice also require approval by the District Attorney. Victim/Witness Assistance: It is the responsibility of the Victim/Witness Unit to ensure that victims are provided the rights as defined under the Prosecutor's Responsibilities of the Crime Victims Bill of Rights (Act 111 of 1998).

Provides support and services to victims of all violence including sexual assault, their families and significant others. Offers support groups for rape survivors, children, pre-adolescents, teens, parents of sexually abused children, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, male survivor's and homicide survivors. Other services include trained counselors who can accompany victims of violence to the emergency room, police departments or to court. Individual and support group counseling are available. Also provides education and resources on crime victimization and prevention for interested individuals and groups.

Provides advocacy and support services for crime victims and their loved ones.

Provides comprehensive victim services ranging from emergency shelter for survivors and their children fleeing violence, to community based services, advocacy, and support.

Offers medical and legal advocacy services to all victims of violent crime, particularly rape, sexual assault, and incest; post trial advocacy, intervention and support counseling, explanations of criminal justice system, court accompaniment upon request, social service referrals, and pastoral care for victims. Assistance with and monitoring of PA Crime Victim Compensation claims.

Offers a variety of strengths-based confidential counseling services for survivors of domestic violence.

Offers support services to victims and witnesses of crime. Provides information on the criminal justice system. Provides referrals to government and private agencies, and assists with applications to a federally-funded Crime Victim Compensation program.

Provides domestic violence related legal services.

Provides an overview of crime victims' right in Pennsylvania and how to address violations of those rights through the courts or by filing a complaint.

Provides assistance to victims and witnesses of crime during their involvement with the criminal justice system.

Offers support and information to prepare clients for a variety of appointments or legal proceedings that may be necessary to attend as a result of crime. Advocates are able to provide medical and legal accompaniment.

Provides a Sexual Assault Response Team consisting of a nurse, AWARE advocate, and police officer providing compassionate care for adult victims of sexual assault through Mercer County hospital emergency departments 24/7.

Provides services to victims of domestic violence including a 24-hour hotline, counseling, support groups, court advocacy, and safe housing when fleeing abuse. Also offers training programs on domestic violence for businesses, police officers, clergy, health care providers, and other social service agency staff, as well as prevention programs to youth.
