Once an officer has secured the scene, advocates work with victims and their children to provide safety planning, information about and assistance with the PFA process, court accompaniment, and referrals to resources as needed.

The FSI Justice Project is a civil legal representation office that provides free representation to low-income victims and survivors of domestic violence in civil matters such as divorce, custody, child support, and housing among other things. This service is confidential.

Counselor/Advocates are available to accompany a victim of domestic or sexual violence to the hospital for an examination and/or treatment.
