Once an officer has secured the scene, advocates work with victims and their children to provide safety planning, information about and assistance with the PFA process, court accompaniment, and referrals to resources as needed.

Provides 24 hour helpline, counseling, emergency shelter, court and hospital accompaniment, support groups, adult, professionals and children's educational programs, children's counseling and therapy services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. No cost services.

The FSI Justice Project is a civil legal representation office that provides free representation to low-income victims and survivors of domestic violence in civil matters such as divorce, custody, child support, and housing among other things.

Provides services for students and workers who have experienced sexual harassment or assault in school or on the job.

Provides an onsite family advocate to meet with the family during the interview for assessment and case planning with non-offending caregivers. When needed, the family advocate accompanies the child and family to medical appointments and court hearings. The family advocate acts as the child and family go to person and continues to work with the family as a support person throughout the life of the case.

Provides victims of domestic violence with assistance navigating through the legal system. Works in collaboration with law enforcement and the District Attorney's Office to ensure domestic violence victims are served efficiently and compassionately. Offers clients legal advice and in some cases accompany clients during legal proceedings.

Administers the state contract for domestic violence services, promoting prevention, intervention and change. Develops training materials programs, trains the trainers, and partners with state officials to effectively coordinate Pennsylvania's response to domestic violence. Advocates for housing laws and public housing policies that protect victims and prevent landlords from discriminating.

Offers a free Telephone Counseling and Consumer Education Service. Volunteer counselors give basic self-help information about procedures and laws regarding a wide range of subjects of concern to Pennsylvania women. Family-related topics include domestic violence, child custody, child and spousal support, separation and divorce, and the legal rights of lesbian and gay parents. Work-related topics include family and medical leave, sexual harassment, and employment discrimination. Counselors use the resource database to refer callers to other agencies that may be able to help them. If desired, counselors mail free written materials to callers regarding the areas of concern for them.

Offers confidential domestic abuse case management, legal services, referral management, and educational programming through a Jewish lens to all who seek our services.

Provides confidential assistance to any victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other crime, recent or past. Services include emergency domestic violence shelter, crisis services, transitional and supportive housing, medical and legal advocacy, civil legal representation, counseling for adults and children, and prevention education.

Offers free general legal aid for victims of domestic abuse who are seeing Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders.

Assists clients with legal options and safety planning. Assistance in filing Protection From Abuse petitions, accompanies the victims to PFA hearings and related criminal hearings. Provides emotional support to the victims and helps assist clients identify her own needs and preferred outcomes.

Provides information, referrals and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who choose to seek justice through the legal system. The advocate does not give legal advice, but shares information about the law including what legal options are available, and how to assess legal recourse. Provides information on Protection for Abuse orders. Program participants choose what, if any legal action they wish to take. Counselor/Advocates are available to accompany a victim of domestic or sexual violence to the hospital for an examination and/or treatment.
