Provides an emergency shelter, a toll-free crisis hotline (call or text), individual and/or group counseling, and support groups for adults and children. Offers legal advocacy (including obtaining a Protection From Abuse Order), systems advocacy, children's program, information and referral, and accompaniment to court-related proceedings.

Attorney on staff is available to provide legal advice regarding issues of domestic and sexual violence, as well as assistance in filing a Protection From Abuse Order for victims.

Provides victims of domestic violence with assistance navigating through the legal system. Advocates provide the following services: assistance with legal options for domestic violence victims, court accompaniment to preliminary hearings (district court level), and systems advocacy to effect social change.

Individuals who have been affected by Domestic Violence or are dealing with a variety of legal or housing-related issues.

Provides housing for up to 30 days. Services are focused on securing housing and employment. Shelter representatives assist in developing service plans, provide referrals, and monitor progress weekly.

Provides assistance with Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders, court accompaniment through Municipal District Courts, Common Pleas, and the criminal court support and accompaniment; assistance with Crime Victim Compensation; Mobile Legal Advocate works with all law enforcement and MDJ staff.

The advocate does not give legal advice, but shares information about the law including what legal options are available, and how to assess legal recourse. Provides information on Protection for Abuse orders. Program participants choose what, if any legal action they wish to take. Counselor/Advocates are available to accompany a victim of domestic or sexual violence to the hospital for an examination and/or treatment.

Offers legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence with filing Protection from Abuse (PFA) Orders. The Legal Advocacy Office can assist with preparation for hearings, accompany survivors to hearings, provide options when a PFA has been violated, and provide support throughout the PFA process.

Assists and supports victims as they go through the criminal or civil legal system. Provides information that will help survivors make informed decisions about the court process.

Provides confidential assistance to any victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other crime, recent or past. Offers a free Telephone Counseling and Consumer Education Service. Volunteer counselors give basic self-help information about procedures and laws regarding a wide range of subjects of concern to Pennsylvania women. Family-related topics include domestic violence, child custody, child and spousal support, separation and divorce, and the legal rights of lesbian and gay parents. Work-related topics include family and medical leave, sexual harassment, and employment discrimination. Counselors use the resource database to refer callers to other agencies that may be able to help them. If desired, counselors mail free written materials to callers regarding the areas of concern for them.

Offers legal advocacy and court accompaniment services. Assists with filing Protection From Abuse orders, navigating the court process, and accompanying clients throughout the legal process.
