Catholic Charities Diocese of Allentown - Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

Provides services to veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and/or lacking the resources for housing stability. Through the development of a service plan, assistance is provided with rent, utilities, emergency support, moving expenses, education, transportation and/or child care. Provides advice in cases involving eviction, illegal lockouts, unlawful termination of utilities, and homes in disrepair. Utility Emergency Services Fund - Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Helps low-income veterans and their families find affordable housing. Financial assistance can include help with back rent, mortgage, or utility payments for families struggling to remain in their homes. Using a housing-first case management model, UESF provides services including housing acquisition and landlord negotiation, VA benefit assistance, mainstream benefits, legal assistance referrals, self-sufficiency education, and temporary financial assistance when needed.

City of Philadelphia - Eviction Diversion Program

Enables landlords and tenants to arrive at an agreement that works for both parties, without having to go to court. Program is required as of January 1, 2022 by City Ordinance #210920. Benefits of diversion and mediation include helping tenants avoid an eviction while also helping landlords avoid vacancies and unit turnover costs. Program is free for both landlords and tenants.
