Administers the special education dispute resolution system in Pennsylvania to include due process, mediation, and IEP facilitation. Creates agreement training and conflict resolution skills training that is also available to families and schools.

Provides information, technical assistance and support related to the development, implementation, review and revision of Individual Education Programs for students with disabilities and/or Individual Family Service plans for infants and toddlers with disabilities.

Provides educational programs for students with special needs. Programs include the delivery of itinerant and classroom services to students with disabilities. State Early Intervention provides services to 3 to 5 year old children with special needs. The Bucks IU also provides educational services to the children in institutional facilities located in Bucks County. Additionally, provides programs and services for adults with disabilities.

Provides training, technical assistance, and individual assistance in English and Spanish to parents of children with disabilities. This assistance is designed to help parents to participate more effectively with professional in meeting the educational needs of children with disabilities.

Provides preschool special education services for children ages 3 until they enter kindergarten. Children are screened and evaluated so that those identified can receive services in the best placement for them, whether it is at home, a caregiver's house, a preschool, or specialized preschool. If it is determined that the child would benefit from a structured preschool classroom, they arrange for placement in one of the contracted classrooms at the Infant Development Program in Clinton County.

Provides a continuum of supports and services to eligible students with special needs from kindergarten through age 21. Additional programs include the traumatic brain injury school re-entry program, specialized transportation services, and extended school year program. Also offers transitional planning and services.

Offers home and community based Applied Behavior Analysis services to children and families. Provides trainings on supporting positive student behaviors.
