Provides preschool scholarships to attend a quality early childhood education program for up to 3 hours per day for three or 5 half-days a week. Eligible families may choose to enroll their child in one of more than 3 dozen participating childcare centers located throughout Erie County.

Offers information and referral, legislative advocacy, and training for families caring for foster, adoptive, or kinship children. Also raises funds to provide extras and scholarships for foster children and children adopted from foster care.

Educational Gratuity program provides financial assistance to children of honorably discharged veterans who have service-connected disabilities and served during a period of war or armed conflict or children of veterans who die or died in service during a period of war or armed conflict. Payment will not exceed $500.00 per term or semester per qualified child to each approved educational institution upon submission by that approved educational institution of proof of matriculation of the applicant. Educational gratuity payments are paid directly to the Educational Institution and may not be made for longer than 4 scholastic years.

Provides up to $1,500 in financial aid per year for expenses related to attending college, trade school or other specialized training to gain employment.

Reading Corners program, which is a co-branded United Way initiative, to offer age and developmentally appropriate books to families using our food pantries and assistance centers, and add the components of instructing families on the importance of reading and having in-center volunteers

Offers a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership, and talent in young women.

Provides grants, scholarships, and support for students attending private K through 12 schools in Allegheny County. Offers various initiatives designed to promote community collaboration and wealth building.

Offers a two-year, open admission college. Provides associate degrees, workforce development, and dual enrollment opportunities. Classes are more flexible than ever with in-person, remote, and online options. NPRC is authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to grant Associate degrees and certificates in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is a candidate for accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Provides reentry services that include housing, mentoring (groups, families, one-on-one), family reunification, case management, housing for battered women and children, referrals, and services for at-risk youth. Also provides an annual scholarship to local seniors through the Julian Mallory Scholarship Fund.

Offers support to meet the educational needs of students through scholarships.

Operates as a trade organization consisting of builders, remodelers, specialty trade contractors, and other business related to the construction industry. Offers a builder and remodeler consumer's guide and academic scholarships.

Offers first-generation high school students assistance with the college search and transition process; training for college admissions criteria and planning for deadlines and required fees; guidance with college and financial aid applications, testing, and personal essay writing; and mentorship through the student's college career. Also awards scholarships to qualified students.

Provides emergency aid, in the form of either a direct grant (a cash gift, not to be repaid) or an interest-free loan, and by giving college scholarships to children of soldiers.

Offers a variety of art classes and art programs for adults and kids. Scholarships for students in available based on financial need.

Initiative providing educational improvement scholarships for children through the assignment of tax credits to donors. Also supports summer learning for children K-5.

Provides the opportunity for youth to participate in school sanctioned activities (athletics, band, and graduation) by providing assistance to help cover the cost of participating. Program would pay a set amount for equipment/necessary items used to participate in school events.

Provides grants to non-traditional students to further their education. Grant amounts depend on financial need and availability of funds.

Provides need-based, partial scholarships through a random lottery hosted in December and March.

Provides tuition scholarships to young learners that are enrolled in an approved, tuition based pre-school program. Approved programs include YWCA of Titusville Fun Factory and YMCA Tiny Footsteps.

Awards annual scholarship ($600 for 4 years, total: $2,400) to children of veterans.

Connects financially struggling families to public benefits and services. Benefits include Low-Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and Food Stamps.

Student Veterans of America (SVA) provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy necessary to succeed in higher education and following graduation.

Offers free access to extensive information about higher education funding.

AMVETS implements programs for and advocates on behalf of veterans and their families. A network of AMVETS National Service Officers (NSOs) are stationed at VA regional offices and medical centers and provide information, counseling and claims assistance to all veterans and their dependants in matters concerning education, disability compensation, employment, hospitalization, rehabilitation, pension and other benefits. Annually awards scholarships to veterans and their dependents. Also conducts programs to teach children about American heritage, civics and citizenship. Pennsylvania AMVETS CODE Career Center provides asset assessment, resume writing assistance, interview skills training, and exploration into education, training, licensing, and certification opportunities.

Offers an education program for 9th grade students in the School District of Lancaster. Participants attend assigned workshops in middle school and throughout two years of high school. Upon completion of the program, they may be admitted to Millersville University. Any tuition, room, and board costs not covered by grants and scholarships will be provided by the program. After being admitted to the university, summer job opportunities, internships, and guaranteed job interviews are provided.
