Provides educational services like teaching and testing, as well as assistance with children.s re-entry to their home school to children who are patients at Janet Weis Children's Hospital. School is staffed by a state-certified teacher employed by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. Teacher maintains a connection with each child's home school teacher to get information about assignments, the child's educational history, and to be sure the child receives credit for attendance and assignments he/she completes while at the Hospital School. The teacher will also suggest services and activities that will aid in the child's return to school. The Hospital School is located on the third floor of Geisinger's Janet Weis Children's Hospital. Services are also provided at your child's bedside when needed.

Team includes professionals who have received extensive training on educating students with traumatic brain injury. Team members act as consultants and are available to provide basic training and resources to school districts and families residing in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties. The team provides consultation not only to students with traumatic brain injury, but also to students with non-traumatic brain injury, including strokes, tumors, lightning strike, anoxia/hypoxia and late-term chemotherapy/radiation effects on the brain.
