Task force looks to enhance safety on streets, in neighborhoods and in homes, by promoting positive behavior in Lycoming County. Coordinates programs regarding driver safety, pedestrian safety, babysitting safety, senior safety, and older adult fraud.

Programs whose primary purpose is to make the public aware of the measures that people can take to reduce the risk of fires or accidents in the home, at school, at work, in the air or on the water or while walking, driving or riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle; and/or which provide instructions for preparing for and surviving an accident should one occur.

Local emergency planning committee and safety education.

Provides police services and assistance to other law enforcement agencies in the Commonwealth. These services range from laboratory testing to specialized training, all with the goal of keeping our communities as safe as possible. Helps find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, and prevent child victimization. Also offers training programs to law-enforcement and social-services professionals.

Provides family with tools to childproof their home such as Childproofing Kits, Mr. Yuck stickers, Universal Cable Gun Locks and other items such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Provides information to help eliminate accidental injuries at work, home, and within the community.
