The Health Dept. offers a wide variety of educational and preventive programs and consulting services. Programs are available to schools, businesses, community organization, etc., and can be tailored to fit most health topics. Available programs include cancer prevention, cardiovascular health and screenings, childhood lead poisoning prevention, dental health, falls prevention, tobacco control, nutrition and physical activity, Lyme Disease and osteoporosis.

Responsible for enforcing all laws and ordinances. Also provides services beyond those of normal enforcement procedures including community resource programs, safety programs for students, and counseling, upon request, for students considered at risk for legal involvement. Provides animal law enforcement, issues temporary no parking signs and business licenses.

All reports, anonymous or otherwise, will be investigated. - Sponsors Camp Cadet for Lancaster County youth ages 11 - 13 years. A week long residential summer camp program which gives youth an opportunity to know and learn about law enforcement activities.
