The mission of YWCA York's Fitness and Aquatic departments is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages through physical fitness and health education. Programs aim to prevent health problems in adults and develop healthy habits in youth. Our programs strengthen bodies and build self-esteem and confidence. Young people learn the value of teamwork and the importance of safety while developing skills that will last a lifetime. YWCA York offers over 40 health, wellness and educational programs for all members of the family. Facilities include a pool, yoga and wellness studio, and free parking. All classes are available for both men and women.

Teaches swimming at all skill levels, lifeguarding, and water safety.

Provides health education programs, including fitness instructor trainings (land and water), swim instructor trainings, CPR/first aid, lifeguard trainings, and babysitting.

Bethlehem YMCA (Broad Street) has an indoor pool and fitness room and offers a regular schedule of activities for all ages. Sliding scale fee structure assures that no one is turned away because of inability to pay for membership.

Provides boating safety and aquatic resources education, fisheries management, and fishing licensing for the State of Pennsylvania

Provides Lifeguard Training (lifeguard course with aquatic specific First Aid, CPR, and AED training), CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid training.

Provides emergency river rescue and search for drowning victims and waterways safety training.
