The Cataract and Primary Eye Care (CPEC) Service is the hub of Wills Eye. Wills Eye physicians perform routine eye exams and refer any serious complications to one of the subspecialty services. Services available include: - Cataract Surgery - Cataract Screenings - Comprehensive eye examinations - Vision screenings - Refractive surgery - Contact lens examinations - Consultations with subspecialists in ophthalmology (such as neuro-ophthalmology) - Referrals to specialists in other medical disciplines (such as endocrinologists for persons with diabetes)

Offers specialty optometric and occupational therapy services to help patients maximize their remaining vision. A personalized treatment plan includes a comprehensive exam, prescribed vision devices, and the training necessary to guarantee success.

Offers screening procedures that identify individuals who have targeted eye diseases or vision deficiencies that may require further examination.

Offers a comprehensive infant eye assessment within the first year of life as a no cost public health service through local providers.

Provides free eye exams, custom eyeglasses, and other essential supplies directly to individuals.

Improves access and the health of the community through the delivery of coordinated comprehensive services for all ages and residents of Berks County regardless of their economic status.

Providing thousands of free vision screenings to children and adults in our service areas each year. These screenings help to detect potential vision and eye health problems, often before symptoms are noticed.

Provides multiple services for visually impaired and legally blind individuals. Services include transportation to and from a Doctor appointment, vision exams, and information for those in need.

Provides free health services to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. Services include primary care, dental and eye screenings, laboratory services, prescription assistance, employment physicals, and referral to a network of providers.

Prescriptive assistance, education for the client and general population regarding the availability and proper use of health services, mental health referral services as necessary, drug and alcohol referrals services, housing referral s, assistance in obtaining health insurance and when needed socks and personal care items.

Supports and promotes the interests of the blind and the prevention of blindness through a wide range of services, including: - Vocational Services - Rehabilitation and Social Services teach vision impaired persons and their family's techniques and use of adaptive equipment to promote independence - Glaucoma screenings, Kid Sight screenings - Vision Voucher Program - Referrals to local ophthalmologists for diagnosis and treatment, eye examinations and refractions for low income individuals without medical insurance - Assistance for the purchase of single lens eyeglasses for low-income individuals - Braille Transcription - Sight Loss Support Groups

Offers help to build relationships, gain new knowledge, and obtain resources available. Preschool vision screenings are available for any preschool who inquires.

Offers assessments by licensed optometrists, prescriptions for optical aids, and the opportunity to try out aids ranging from magnifiers, writing guides, special lighting devices, and closed-circuit TVs. Prevention of blindness programs including free vision screenings for children 12 months to 6 years of age. Transportation: This free door-to-door service provides rides to essential medical appointment or critical service need, such as obtaining a photo ID or grocery shopping. Individuals must live in Allegheny County and meet the program criteria. Appointments requested to be made in advance.

Provides services free of charge to residents in Lebanon County who are blind or vision impaired. Services include: - Orientation and Mobility Instruction - Recreational activities and support groups - Rehabilitation training - Vocational and employment opportunities for those who are blind and vision impaired throughout Lebanon County - Vision Voucher Program Also offers a Low-vision store and receive help in choosing aids and appliances to assist them with

Offers vision screening to detect vision problems before young children enter school. Provides service in pre-schools and day care centers throughout Montgomery and Northern Chester County.

Provides income eligible children an opportunity to receive a complete eye examination with a pediatric optometrist who specializes in testing for visual-related learning problems. The clinic is held monthly at our facility.

Offers vision screenings. Provides speakers for community civic groups, church groups, and other organizations.

Provide children's vision screenings at preschools and kindergarten registrations in Clarion, Forest and Venango Counties. Comprehensive and interactive eye health education programs are also available for children ages 4 through 17.
