Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 - Preschool Early Intervention

Provides special education programs for students with disabilities from age 3 through age 5 who have developmental delays, physical disabilities, vision and/or hearing impairments, speech or language impairments, autism, or mental retardation. Services are offered at various locations throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. A full evaluation is required to determine eligibility for services.

Caring Together - Child Development and Parenting

Identifies strengths and potential developmental deficits of children in the program and also guides the Child Development staff in the individual and group curriculum they provide to the children while their mothers are in treatment. Also provides age appropriate activities and parenting tips for the mothers in the program.

Developmental Enterprises Corporation - Adult Training Facility

Provides an adult day program. Participants develop living skills such as housekeeping, shopping, and cooking. Participants also develop intellectual skills, including basic academics and pre-vocational skills. Self-reliance and integration in the surrounding community are other important elements of the program.

Service Access and Management - Headquarters - Early Intervention

Early Intervention is an entitlement program for children from birth to 3 years, who have a developmental delay of 25% or more in one or more of the major areas of development (physical, sensory, cognitive, language/speech, social-emotional and self-care). At-risk children, including infants affected by premature birth, alcohol, drugs or lead poisoning and infants who have been abused or neglected are eligible for services. An entitlement program means that any eligible child, regardless of financial status, is entitled to receive services. Services include, among others, family training, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and assessment which are coordinated by Support Coordinators.

Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania - Eastern PA Administrative Office - Autism Diagnostic Clinic

The Autism Diagnostic Clinic uses a telehealth model to serve residents of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Pike counties. The clinic operates using a telehealth model so that the child is evaluated in their home in familiar surroundings, families do not have to travel for services, and geographic barriers are eliminated. A psychologist and/or developmental nurse practitioner administers the evaluation via teleconference while guiding the parent through activities with the child. Bilingual clinicians are available. Families receive a same-day diagnosis and the service is provided at no cost to families thanks to funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
