Manages the nation's organ transplant system under contract with the federal government. Manages the national transplant waiting list, matches donors to recipients, maintains the database of transplants in the U.S., develops policies and educates transplant professionals and the general public about transplants.

Works to provide education and build awareness on the importance of organ and tissue donation, and to increase the number of Pennsylvanians who sign up to become donors.
