Assists persons with disabilities with working around their challenges and perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible. Provides specialized devices, equipment, and software along with procurement, installation, training / instruction, and repair. Services include in-home, individualized, person-centered evaluations and assessments; trial uses of devices; and follow-up evaluations to ensure technologies are meeting needs.

Provide training for individuals who have physical or sensory limitations and/or for their caregivers which focuses on the care and utilization of the particular type of assistive technology product they require and changes the devices might require in their lives.

Serves as TechOWL's Assistive Technology Resource Center for South Central Pennsylvania. Provides services including demonstrations of devices, promoting PA's free special phone program for people with disabilities, helping people borrow items from TechOWL's assistive technology lending library, and operating the Changing Hands equipment reuse program, which provides gently used durable medical equipment and assistive technology to people in need at no charge.

Offers opportunities for people with disabilities to learn how SMART technology can enhance their ability to live inclusively and independently in the community. Provides a SMART tech library, demonstrations, and outreach services. Also offers short term socialization and assistance in multiple areas of support and advocacy.

Provides assistance in using devices and computer software products that are specifically designed for blind and visually impaired individuals. Specialists are able to provide quality assessment, training, and technical support services if necessary.

Teaches students a variety of accessible technologies, including screen reading software, screen magnification, Braille displays, and other computer technology.

Offers comprehensive programming for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Facilitates social and educational activities aimed at developing appropriate socialization, self-advocacy, living, and work skills for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Services include case management, low vision occupational therapy, orientation and mobility skills training, educational and peer support groups, access to assistive technology, and Braille instruction.
