A federally funded program designed to answer questions older adults have about Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid, long-term care insurance and preventive care. Apprise is free, confidential, and staffed by trained volunteers who can provide older adults with clear and objective advice about available insurance options, help with medical insurance paperwork and answer questions about the appeals process. Counselors are located at various sites throughout Lehigh and Northampton Counties.

Services may include Care Management, Assessment, Protective Services, Information and Assistance, PA MEDI (Insurance Counseling), Health and Wellness Programs, adult day services, in home meals, personal emergency response system, personal care, transportation, and caregiver support. The agency also has 5 Senior Centers throughout the County in which participants can enjoy a Congregate Meal and Programming.

A 200 one-bedroom apartments for low to moderate-income residents, 62 years of age or older, as well as income qualified persons younger than 62 who are on disability. All applicants must be self-sufficient as Cedarview does not provide medical or personal care services. Two year waiting list for those over 62 and five year waiting list for those under 62. APPRISE (Medicare/Medicaid Assistance) available the second Wednesday, 11:00am to 1:00pm.
