Works with two Philadelphia-based Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to improve birth outcomes and reduce the rate of pregnancy-related complications. Provides support to moderate and high-risk pregnant women to ensure early and consistent prenatal care, promote positive health behavior, and coordinate access to needed health and social services.

Medical Assistance, also known as Medicaid, pays for health care services for eligible individuals.

Connects consumers to health coverage. Assists with Medicaid, CHIP, and Pennie – Pennsylvania’s state-based health insurance exchange.

Provides free face-to-face or telephone assistance with understanding Medicare and Medicaid eligibility benefits, Medicare supplemental insurance, Medicare HMOs and long-term care insurance. Trained volunteers and staff assist in filing appeals and grievances for denied services and quality of care in Medicare HMOs.

Trained and Certified Volunteer Counselors are available by appointment to assist Medicare beneficiaries with their insurance questions and problems. Assistance available with Medicare, eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid/Medical Assistance, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicare Advantage Plans, Low Income Subsidies for assistance with Medicare Prescription Drug Costs, Medicare Savings Program, PACE/PACENET (Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly), and Veterans benefits.

Offers social service enrollment and renewal including Medicaid, LIHEAP, PA-1000, PECO CAP, phone assistance programs, senior citizen water bill discount, SNAP, and VITA.

Helps older adults with all types of health insurance information, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private policies such as Long Term Care and Medicare Supplement Insurance.

Provides health insurance counseling to help people understand their Medicare and other health insurance benefits. Counselors work individually and confidentially with Medicare beneficiaries to help with Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medicaid, Medicare Savings Program, Prescription assistance programs.

Provides health care benefits for older people and people with disabilities.

Provides application assistance for the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, and CHIP.

Provides health insurance coaching and consulting services to anyone who has Pennie (Marketplace), Medicare, or Medicaid issues. Provides education and advocacy.
