ACHIP is a Lehigh Valley Children's Hospital home visiting program for pregnant women and families with children (birth to age 5) who live in the downtown Allentown area. ACHIP promotes health and well-being, addresses health needs and connects families with the community resources they need.

Nurse practitioner and Community Health Nurses provide services on STD clinic day. The STD Clinic is available on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:30pm, and the TB Clinic operates on the 1st Thursday of every month from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Immunizations are free by appointment only on Wednesdays, from 8:30am to 10:45am and 1:30pm to 2:30pm, and are available to individuals with no insurance or underinsurance. Additional services include family and professional education, general health information and referrals, case management and counseling for children with elevated blood lead levels, health promotion and teaching for groups, PKU, perinatal and hepatitis B case management, investigation of communicable diseases, and follow-up for animal bites and rabies.

Provides comprehensive support and family-centered education to parents and their children with the goal of promoting family health, unity, and independence. Works with pregnant women, parents, infants, children, and families to build stability and structure in the family to preserve the family unit, promote unification, and ensure children lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Provides visiting nurses who work with on parenting, nutrition and birth control from the beginning of their pregnancy until their babies are two years old.

Provides public health education, preventive nursing services, emergency preparedness, immunizations, communicable disease surveillance and investigation, HIV testing and counseling, community empowerment, and other nursing services as mandated by PA legislation. Provides adult and child immunizations, HIV/AIDS referrals, and health resources.

Purpose of services is to reduce unplanned pregnancies by supporting women's choice to space their children or to remain childless, and to provide comprehensive gynecologic medical services. Services include physical exams; tests for STDs (including HIV); counseling about safe sex, abstinence, and contraceptives; contraceptive methods at no cost to patients; and pregnancy testing.

Funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Healthy Beginnings Plus is a program for pregnant women who are income eligible. During pregnancy income eligibility increases to 185% above Federal Poverty Guidelines. Services provided by the program include: - medical care provided by a doctor or nurse midwife - pre-natal education by a nurse educator - assistance of a special counselor - nutrition instruction - childbirth education - parenting and baby tips classes - breastfeeding classes - smoking cessation programs - access to dental care through affiliation with Welsh Mountain Dental Clinic Program site: Medical office building adjacent to the main hospital (Lower Level-Suite 157)

Provides pregnancy and parenting classes; offered both on-site and virtually/via telephone.

Offers pre-natal classes covering fetal development, nutrition, safety, and what to expect during pregnancy, labor and delivery. Also offers parenting classes covering topics like baby basics, nutrition, budgeting, and discipline. Currently conducting parenting classes individually by telephone and Zoom.

Offers eight, one-on-one sessions with a trained volunteer covering how to have a healthy pregnancy, feeding, care, and safety of a newborn and infant. Discusses maternal health and childbirth.

Provide a pre- and post-natal education to families concerning fetal development, labor and delivery, post partum, feeding options, as well as development and milestones.

Offers Pregnancy tests - baby clothing - ultrasound testing, Biblical counseling, parenting classes, and abortion recovery.

A medical facility offering maternity and women's services. Also offers basic childbirth and breastfeeding classes. Certified breast health educators offer classes, provide educational counseling and are available to speak to local civic and social groups. Resource materials may be borrowed and Internet access is available.
