Exercise classes designed to meet the needs of adults. A variety of classes offered both in the daytime & evening featuring cardio-vascular, strengthening, toning and endurance building routines.

Exercise classes available for adults in both the Therapeutic Pool & Lap Pool. Learn to Swim classes for children 6 mont to adult. Both group & private instruction available.

Provides a range of fitness classes to enhance balance and fall prevention, using light weights, stretch bands, and chairs. Sitting and standing exercise repetitions aimed at building endurance and strength in bones and joints as well as hand-eye coordination to allow individual mobility.

Offers a fully accessible fitness center with accessible exercise equipment.

Offers a wide range of activities held in Lancaster such as swimming, bowling, social groups, water-skiing, horseback riding, and basketball. Also provides sign language interpretation for the deaf and hard of hearing. Offers residential camp and weekend respite opportunities.

Recreation Therapy is an activity-based intervention that promotes the independent physical, cognitive, emotional and social functioning of people with disabilities. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists use technology, motor and sensory programs, in both individual and group settings, to enhance current skills and facilitate the establishment of new skills for daily living and community functioning.

Provides access to full-service fitness center for older adults. Available programs and services at the fitness center include: tai chi, line dancing, Dance Yourself Fit!, balance assessments, gentle yoga, personal training & assisted training, cardio equipment, chair/stand-up exercise classes, strength training equipment, and tap dancing.

Provides a variety of individualized rehabilitative outpatient programs, which may include physical therapy, aquatic therapy and other therapeutic exercise programs, occupational therapy, neurorehabilitation, wound care, arthritis rehabilitation, back and neck rehabilitation, hip and knee rehabilitation, multi-trauma rehabilitation, burn care, lymphedema management, industrial rehabilitation, speech and language therapy, and pediatric therapy.

Aquatic Therapy is offered to patients of all ages and is provided by specially trained physical, occupational and aquatic therapists in our therapeutic pool. This pool is uniquely designed for accessibility and comfort with a movable floor that can lower clients into the water. Patients may also enter and exit the pool using the steps with a handrail or on an automatic lift chair.

Offers a 90-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and home health rehabilitation services designed to return patients to leading active and independent lives. St. Joseph's Center has long history of caring for children with special needs. The trend continues today in the Center's state-of-the-art Weinberg Therapy Building. Experienced therapists utilize a play-based gym, a therapeutic pool, the latest in communication technologies, and full music and recreation therapy facilities to provide each child with a comprehensive therapy service. Licensed therapists evaluate skills and work one-on-one through an individually developed plan of care. By incorporating the family and/or caregiver, we hope to attain functional goals and ultimately to improve the quality of life for each child.
