Programs aid individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in searching for jobs, refining interviewing skills, and transitioning into the workforce through temporary employment positions. They focus on working with each person in the setting in which they are most comfortable. The Commerce Park Clubhouse offers a variety of employment opportunities such as Transitional Employment Positions (TEP)and Supported Employment, and also provides in-house support for those in Independent Employment. TEP’s and Supported Employment also receive Job Coaching, funded through OVR. Clubhouse administrators try to match members with positions that fit a member's needs and skill sets. Commerce Park Clubhouse has a wide variety of opportunities for members to get involved in everything from cooking to how to use a computer throughout the work day. The Tower Cafe is a vocational training restaurant operated by Community Services Group.

Provides assistance with resume preparation, interview skills, and employment search.

Serves as a one-stop career center providing local job seekers with resources and personalized attention needed to find their next career opportunity. Services include vocational assessment, resume preparation, job finding assistance, hosting job fairs, and free use of space and equipment (computers, fax machine, telephone, etc.) for employment-related purposes.

Offers 45-minute sessions on successful interviewing techniques. Provides each client with one suit when he has an interview scheduled and a second suit when he gets the job. Clients also receive free tailoring and haircut services when necessary.

Provides career counseling and assistance with job searches, job applications and resumes. Clients receive soft-skill training which includes practice job interviewing. Assistance is given to clients interested in vocational training and are aided in the process of applying to technical or vocational schools.

Provides services for GED preparation and GED test expenses; career readiness workshops, resume development assistance, mock interviews, job finding assistance, and in-person work experiences; information and referrals concerning applying and paying for college, locating free or low-cost training programs, and apprenticeship opportunities.

Provides assistance for low income individuals preparing resumes and applications and also provides information and referrals to companies looking for workers.

Provides eligible individuals with career counseling, pre-vocational preparation, basic skills improvement, on-the-job training, occupational skills training and job search assistance.

Offers classes in High School Equivalency Test preparation, Engish as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, and Workforce Preparation. Courses are provided morning, evenings, and online.

Joblessness and homelessness are two compelling problems facing many men and women in Chester County. We offer a program that has helped numerous individuals on the road to self-sufficiency. Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income. The program teaches employability skills and provides job search opportunities.

Offers multiple certification programs, employment opportunities, life skills and work readiness training, education services, and employment exposure/search services.

Provides a full range of employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink® offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring. PA CareerLink® offices comply with the Jobs for Veterans Act by providing priority services to veterans. Local Veterans Employment Representatives and/or Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialists are available at PA CareerLink® offices to assist veterans with job search and other employment needs. Job seekers identified as veterans are matched to job orders, before any other job seeker matches are performed.

Offers intensive case management, academic remediation, job readiness preparation, job development and job placement assistance.

Provides pre-job guidance services and trainings to assist with individual career transitions, centered on specific life and career stages. Services include specialized training scholarships, career assessments, resume building assistance, mock interviewing, access to clothing appropriate for interviewing, barrier removal assistance, employer leads, and job placement assistance and advocacy.

Offers culturally relevant workshops, life skills education, support groups, and more focused on areas such as managing stress, entrepreneurship, healing from trauma, conflict resolution, career readiness, healthy relationships, and current events.

Provides basic case management services, and rental assistance to adults and families in York County who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk for eviction (NOTE: Referrals to rental assistance are limited as funds are limited). Offers community resource assistance and other services to help prevent homelessness.

Provides employment and educational services. Offers training programs for certifications, support for dislocated workers, employment-related transportation, and job retraining assistance. Assists with applying for benefits through the Department of Human Services, filing initial Unemployment Claims, and Workers' Compensation Benefits.

Teaches the critical soft skills needed to find and keep employment including critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and life skills, budgeting, and basic math skills. Also offers individualized career counseling and support with resume development, job searching, and interview preparation. Upon program completion, participants will be enrolled to take the ACT National Career Readiness Certification examination.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.

Offers individual sessions to assist clients to identify career options, help them enroll in post-secondary schools, and apply for financial aid.

Assists clients in obtaining and retaining employment. Help is also provided in finding a job once clients are ready to do so. Job retention is supported with case management, on-the-job coaching, support groups, and professional mentoring.

Provide intensive case management, education, training, work activities, job placement and retention services, and supportive services to move rapidly from dependence to independence through employment.

Provides direct access to interview suiting program via mobile unit in partnership with local job training programs and PA Career Links.
