The partnership is comprised of citizens, educators, business, and government agencies that offer knowledge, training, and guidance to all students to enable them to be competitive members of a world-class workforce.

Provides individuals with intensive case management to assess and remediate their barriers to employment. Provides support to engage in training and activities to enhance and motivate them to actively seek employment opportunities.

Services include job counseling, resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

Provides advice sessions in person, by phone, or a video conference call with experienced volunteers who can help enhance and develop the tools, skills, and confidence needed to be successful in today’s job market. Also provides free financial consultations.

Offers a workforce development program that provides opportunity to obtain technical training. Coaches guide participants through the process to ensure goals are achieved and barriers are reduced. Participants take technical classes at Johnson College to obtain industry-specific credentials. In addition to classes, participants take part in employee readiness workshops that relate to workplace knowledge, professionalism, and long-term success. After program completion, participants will have earned professional certification in a high-priority occupation and find gainful employment.

Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income. Offers a workforce development program that provides services for career development, employment and job finding assistance, and basic adult education.

Offers on-the-job training, referrals for additional classroom training (if appropriate), and referrals to employers in the community who are seekng the skills you have or will acquire in the program. It can also offer assessment, testing and counseling if desired or needed. Training will be customized to meet your individual needs.

Offers a one-year work preparatory program that assists individuals in preparing for and finding employment.

Provide educational, social, political, economic, health and employment services to Hispanic, immigrant and refugee populations in Erie. Services include English language education and interpretation, translation, GED education, immigration services, life skill development, aging, health education and assessment and community diversity training, employment preparation and placement and child day care for client and community families.

Provides two weeks of life skills and job readiness training, mentoring (continues post-program), trauma-informed group counseling, and job finding assistance. Participants receive a $15.00 per hour stipend and a daily complimentary meal.

Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring.

Aids to create career pathways through comprehensive, supportive job readiness training, boosting individuals confidence as they navigate shifts in their career journey.

Helps assists individuals to successfully navigate employment in a competitive workplace. This is accomplished with an array of services for the individual, including career counseling, vocational profile development, situational assessment, job development and placement and job coaching. Job coaching follows the consumer to their new workplace environment, giving the support and assistance while they learn job duties and responsibilities, including specific job tasks and work assignments.

Offers support and resources based on individual needs. Provides basic life essentials (vital documents, showers, clothes, and food); housing support; employment assistance (job search help, resume assistance, job readiness training, and entrepreneur support); educational support; motivational education, coaching, and life skills training; restorative practices; creative and recreational age-specific programs; community and a safe space.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.

Provides vocational assessment, career planning assistance, job training, and supported employment for adults with intellectual disabilities.
