Student Veterans of America (SVA) provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy necessary to succeed in higher education and following graduation.

New job postings daily. * Workshops and information sessions are available to the public. Can be found on the events calendar. * Comprehensive Career Services - One-on-one with an employment planner. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements. * Work one-on-one with an employment planner to develop an employment plan and outline the path to their next job. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements. * Job Search/Job Club - Individuals can sign up for Comprehensive Career Services. Work one-on-one with an employment planner to develop an employment plan. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements. * Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) serves young adults 17-24 years old who are currently enrolled in school in Berks County. Must meet federal eligibility requirements.

Provides pre-job guidance services and trainings to assist with individual career transitions, centered on specific life and career stages. Services include specialized training scholarships, career assessments, resume building assistance, mock interviewing, access to clothing appropriate for interviewing, barrier removal assistance, employer leads, and job placement assistance and advocacy.

Provides a 30 day emergency shelter for women, men and children, providing a safe place to stay while working to secure permanent housing, case management, life skills education, employment readiness, and financial literacy.

Programs aid individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in searching for jobs, refining interviewing skills, and transitioning into the workforce through temporary employment positions. They focus on working with each person in the setting in which they are most comfortable. The Commerce Park Clubhouse offers a variety of employment opportunities such as Transitional Employment Positions (TEP)and Supported Employment, and also provides in-house support for those in Independent Employment. TEP’s and Supported Employment also receive Job Coaching, funded through OVR. Clubhouse administrators try to match members with positions that fit a member's needs and skill sets. Commerce Park Clubhouse has a wide variety of opportunities for members to get involved in everything from cooking to how to use a computer throughout the work day. The Tower Cafe is a vocational training restaurant operated by Community Services Group.

Provides a one credit, 120-hour year long elective course for students that is designed to develop and enhance the basic job skills that managers in all businesses and industries require of employees.

Offers a program for youth ages 12 to 17, providing life skills training, trauma-informed care, financial literacy training, and workforce development. Youth enrolled in the program are required to be present at NOMO North Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.
