AMVETS implements programs for and advocates on behalf of veterans and their families. A network of AMVETS National Service Officers (NSOs) are stationed at VA regional offices and medical centers and provide information, counseling and claims assistance to all veterans and their dependants in matters concerning education, disability compensation, employment, hospitalization, rehabilitation, pension and other benefits. Annually awards scholarships to veterans and their dependents. Also conducts programs to teach children about American heritage, civics and citizenship. Pennsylvania AMVETS CODE Career Center provides asset assessment, resume writing assistance, interview skills training, and exploration into education, training, licensing, and certification opportunities.

A one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

Teaches the critical soft skills needed to find and keep employment including critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and life skills, budgeting, and basic math skills. Also offers individualized career counseling and support with resume development, job searching, and interview preparation. Upon program completion, participants will be enrolled to take the ACT National Career Readiness Certification examination.
Provides a wide range of workforce development services. Services include one-on-one career coaching, workforce webinar series, 10-week professional development / workforce readiness seminars, job fairs, and highering events. Assists with finding job training and certification programs, resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, job referrals, and more.

Serves as an orientation tool and support group for persons seeking full time and part time employment. Offers job leads, resume writing assistance, and advice on job search techniques, interviewing skills, and career development options.
Offers job search assistance, job readiness, one-on-one mentoring, and any other needed assistance for employment. Assistance includes resume preparation, completing job applications, and mock interviews. The EAP identifies potential employers willing to consider ex-offenders for hire.
