Student Veterans of America (SVA) provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy necessary to succeed in higher education and following graduation.

Services include: Paid training program with competitive wages, Training evaluation and goals specific to individual needs, Employment Preparation (explores options, job placement plans, resumes, and interview prep, access to assistive technology), Job Search (search the local job market, contact employers, track job search), Job Placement (match with opportunities that meet job skills, educate employers about special needs), Follow-Along and Job Retention (on-the-job coaching and support, regular communication with employer within the first 30 days of employment, on-going job and skills training, advice on advancement or promotion), Employer Support (special needs education as it relates to workplace modifications, tax incentives for hiring individuals with disabilities), and Follow up services after the training program.

Offers on-the-job training, referrals for additional classroom training (if appropriate), and referrals to employers in the community who are seekng the skills you have or will acquire in the program. It can also offer assessment, testing and counseling if desired or needed. Training will be customized to meet your individual needs.

Teaches essential life skills such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, money management, and more to teens and young adults who require additional support. These skills enable participants to manage daily routines and activities independently in preparation for life after high school.

Offers employment services, including job training, career counseling, online and in person workshops, unemployment compensation assistance, and more.

Supports empowerment and leadership development of queer youth of color through individual coaching, group support, and community engagement. Coaching addresses sexual health, education, homework assistance, job readiness, employment, conflict resolution, and trauma. Offers group activities that allow queer youth to strengthen their social support system and facilitate dialogue about how they can make an impact on their community through organizing.

Offers resume writing and revising, practice interviews, understanding types of training necessary for certain jobs, job search tips, and some skills development for specific entry level career paths.

Provides free year-round education, employment, and empowerment services in Philadelphia for youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 who are out of school or work. Helps young people take the next step toward a career through holistic, individualized educational, employment, and empowerment support. Offers classes are in-person Monday through Friday, in morning and afternoon sessions.

Offers wraparound services including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), life skills training, job readiness, and employment opportunities coupled with recreational activity for high risk individuals.
