The Branch also consists of the Employment Outreach section which assists members of the Pennsylvania National Guard and their immediate Family by providing tools necessary to gain meaningful employment.

Offers a workforce development program that provides opportunity to obtain technical training. Coaches guide participants through the process to ensure goals are achieved and barriers are reduced. Participants take technical classes at Johnson College to obtain industry-specific credentials. In addition to classes, participants take part in employee readiness workshops that relate to workplace knowledge, professionalism, and long-term success. After program completion, participants will have earned professional certification in a high-priority occupation and find gainful employment.

Programs that provide individual or group training for people who want to learn to present their skills, education and previous work experience effectively in a written resume.

Assists with applying for benefits through the Department of Human Services, filing initial Unemployment Claims, and Workers' Compensation Benefits.

Provides assistance navigating community resources and Workforce/employment services, including employment skills, career counseling, high school equivalency assistance and reentry assistance. Also provides a recovery support center with community based self help programming for individuals experiencing a substance abuse disorder. Recovery Cafe provides a safe, sober place to socialize.
