Bell Socialization Services - Next Door Program

Provides basic case management services, and rental assistance to adults and families in York County who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk for eviction (NOTE: Referrals to rental assistance are limited as funds are limited). Arc of Northeastern Pennsylvania - Supported Employment

PA CareerLink - Career Development Veterans Greene and Butler

Provides a full range of employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink® offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring. PA CareerLink® offices comply with the Jobs for Veterans Act by providing priority services to veterans. Local Veterans Employment Representatives and/or Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialists are available at PA CareerLink® offices to assist veterans with job search and other employment needs. Job seekers identified as veterans are matched to job orders, before any other job seeker matches are performed.

Connections Work - Employment Assistance at Connections Work

Provides services and programming for individuals involved in the justice system and those with similar barriers to employment. - Employment assistance includes employment preparedness, resume writing, financial literacy, education/skill assessments, computer lab access, and employment placement. - Registered pre-apprenticeship program that provides career and technical education, hands-on learning, and an employment-focused curriculum with job readiness skills. - Workforce development program for individuals with a criminal record and mental health diagnosis and currently receiving case management services at SAM, Inc. - Workforce development program for individuals with a criminal record and an opioid use disorder and currently receiving case management services. - Assistance with transportation and IDs.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.
