After School Programs include:

Career day offerings include: Vehicular Career Day: One-day experience where students get to see vehicles/mobile equipment units and interact directly with the professionals who operate these vehicles in the course of their work. Some examples are linemen, grader operators, police, well drillers, fuel delivery and home health professionals. Designed for 5th grade students. Healthcare Career Day: A one-day career day. Students interact face-to-face with a range of professionals from the healthcare sector. Students learn what the careers are like and educational pathways needed for success. Designed for 9th to 12th grades.

Provides assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service and provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other government agencies.

Provides care management for persons living with disabilities, mental health diagnosis, and brain injury to support independent living, stability, and security. Provides help for veterans experiencing homelessness to seek and gain employment. Connects them with training programs to build skills that will help them to re-enter the work force. Offers job counseling, resume preparation, and job placement.

Services designed to help young adults, ages 16 to 24 years, prepare for and succeed in education, training and employment. Young adults eligible for programming must no longer be in school, either because they withdrew or because they completed high school or post-secondary program. The program Career Counselors will assist participants in preparing and succeeding in education, training and employment. Services provided will include career exploration, peer connections, money management, job searching, interviewing skills, mentoring, college visits, exposure to training programs, local business tours, volunteer/service projects, building leadership skills and information on starting a business. Programming is held in PA CareerLink Offices.

Informs unemployed and under-employed individuals about job opportunities and how to become prepared for them. Helps participants to identify realistic career goals and develop strategies to overcome obstacles. Provides both group-oriented and one-on-one financial coaching.

The PA CareerLink is a one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

Assists youth transitioning from placement to independent living with the skills and resources necessary to make them productive members of society. ECILP helps youth accomplish goals with employment, enrollment in educational or vocational training, and maintaining a stable place of residence after discharge.

The AbilityOne Program creates employment opportunities for individuals who are blind or severely disabled. Business services include shredding, CD/DVD duplication and printing, custom logo USB flash drives, Flash drive and file preloading. They are also available as subcontractors for warehousing, distribution and shipping, light assembly, collating, packaging, and shrink wrapping.

Offers a job club, classroom and on-the-job training, career exploration opportunities, vocational assessment, job search assistance, and a young adult employment program.

Provides employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring.

Offers paid apprenticeships to youth each semester and during the summer. Apprentices work alongside gardens staff to plant, grow, harvest, and sell foods and herbs in agency urban gardens. Develops leadership skills through creating lesson plans and delivering instruction to Semillas del Futuro participants in weekly classes.

55+ Employment Workshop: Workshop is conducted every first and third Wednesday from 9-11 am at 150 N Queen St, Suite 415, Lancaster. During the workshop, information on the job market, job search and interviewing techniques are presented. Participants are also led through exercises designed to develop the positive attitudes that are necessary for a successful job search. All attendees are enrolled in the 55+ Job Bank and are screened for possible eligibility for the federally subsidized Senior Community Service Employment Program. 55+Job Bank: This program is a job referral service for older job seekers. People of all skill, experience, income and education levels may participate. They must be 55 years or over and a Lancaster County resident. Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP): The SCSEP is funded by the US Dept of Labor under Title V of the Older Americans Act. Allows local youth, ages 18-24, who have graduated from the Project Success program to mentor and volunteer as aides while continuing to gather information regarding career guidance and exploration through the use of bi-weekly seminars, field trips, guest speakers, and job shadowing.

Provides comprehensive jobseeker assistance, including job readiness training, resume development workshops, job finding assistance, and more. Also provides employment services to persons formerly incarcerated (reentering / returning citizens or ex-offenders).
