Melmark - Adult Programs

The Meadows at Melmark is a work-centered program for adults with mild-to-moderate disabilities. Participants live with friends in staff-supervised, single-family homes, or in the community with their families. Adult Day Workshops provide services for adults with moderate-to-profound developmental and physical disabilities, based on individual needs and abilities. For adults with lower cognitive levels or those who are non-ambulatory, activities include multi-sensory stimulation, massage therapy, hand-over-hand training, and personal assistance.

Handi-Crafters - Workshop Employment

Most individuals who come to Handi-Crafters have had little or no work experience. Here they are given the opportunity to learn and acquire good work skills through on-the-job training as they compensate and adapt around their disability. Over 300 people are employed in our workshops. They perform production service work for businesses. Our workshops can provide you with a range of work experiences. We complete jobs which involve packaging, assembling, heat sealing, collating, and non-industrial assembly. Opportunities are also available for qualified individuals to operate a variety of industrial machinery. Basic safety instruction is an integral part of our work program. Most of our jobs are paid at piece rate. Some of the more specialized work is paid by the hour. Paychecks are issued every other Friday. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure work environment that allows each individual to develop a worker profile to acquire the skills necessary for success in the competitive job market. Community Services Group - Vocational Programs for Mental Health Rehabilitation

Provides vocational programs for adults whose mental illness has impeded their emotional, social, economic and vocational development. Programs aid individuals in searching for jobs, refining interviewing skills and transitioning into a new job. They focus on working with each person in the setting most comfortable for the individual. The Commerce Park Clubhouse offers a variety of employment opportunities such as Transitional Employment Positions (TEP), Supported Employment and also provides in-house support for those in Independent Employment. TEPâs and Supported Employment also receive Job Coaching, funded through OVR. Commerce Park Clubhouse has a wide variety of opportunities for members to get involved in everything from cooking to how to use a computer throughout the work day. The Tower Cafe is a vocational training restaurant operated by Community Services Group.
