Short term summer work experiences are available to students of participating school districts. Energy and Oilfield Summer Experience: A three-day summer experience held in August. Students will spend time learning about the endless career opportunities available to them in NEPA. Students will participate in classroom instruction and field trips with representatives of Lackawanna College School of Petroleum & Natural and local energy companies. Designed for students in 9th to 12th grades. Healthcare Career Summer Experience: A week-long summer experience held in July. Students explore a range of career options and learn about important issues in health. Students interact with healthcare professionals and receive a hands-on experience. Designed for students in 8th to 12th grades.

Offers counseling, life skills education, case management, service planning, and employment service. Program is run by the Allegheny County Human Services Department, Family and Community Services.

Provides young adults ages 17 to 24 who have disadvantages to employment with the chance to earn their GEDs, receive on-the-job training, and earn a wage while doing it.

Project Match provides placement services to youth with severe disabilities transitioning from school to work. Services include: career awareness, job training, and workplace literacy.

Provides in-person, one-on-one case management services, mentorships, incentives, supportive services, occupational skills, work experience training, entrepreneurship training, and leadership development. Also focuses on behavioral training methods to reduce violence, such as conflict resolution and finding common ground with one another.

Offers a youth leadership building program focusing on arts, entrepreneurship, Puerto Rican culture, and gardening. Also offers homework help, college prep, work readiness, and outdoor experiences such as photography, gardening, camping, and canoeing.
