Offers a 21-week training program for young adults in Philadelphia who are interested in careers in information technology. Participants are eligible for monthly SEPTA passes through maintaining regular attendance, gift cards and other incentives as they earn industry-recognized credentials, and paid internships.
Offers career preparation, GED preparation, and job search and placement services to out of school youth. Program is run by the Allegheny County Human Services Department, Employment and Training Services.

School Readiness Programs
Services designed to help young adults, ages 16 to 24 years, prepare for and succeed in education, training and employment. Young adults eligible for programming must no longer be in school, either because they withdrew or because they completed high school or post-secondary program. The program Career Counselors will assist participants in preparing and succeeding in education, training and employment. Services provided will include career exploration, peer connections, money management, job searching, interviewing skills, mentoring, college visits, exposure to training programs, local business tours, volunteer/service projects, building leadership skills and information on starting a business. Programming is held in PA CareerLink Offices.

Offers paid apprenticeships to youth each semester and during the summer. Apprentices work alongside gardens staff to plant, grow, harvest, and sell foods and herbs in agency urban gardens. Develops leadership skills through creating lesson plans and delivering instruction to Semillas del Futuro participants in weekly classes.

Provides eligible students with year-round work experience. Students work approximately 24 hours a week for $13 per hour.
Offers access to a resource library that includes: computers with internet access and resume writing software; PA CareerLink registration; resume packets; information on interviewing skills and writing cover and follow-up letters; labor market and training provider information; job listings; information on local agencies, services, and resources; and phone, fax, and copier access for job searching.

    Offers a free, one-year program that empowers young adults to reach their full potential and thrive in professional careers and higher education. Students spend six months learning in-demand technical and professional skills before applying their skills during a six-month corporate internship. Throughout the program, students complete coursework that may be eligible for college credits and receive access to services and supports to promote their success.

    Offers a workforce program for youth in need and at-risk youth that provides employment, educational experiences, and essential skills such as financial literacy and time management. Year-round and summer work experiences available. Services are provided for both in-school and out-of-school youth.
    Recruits temporary workers for the Summer programs as well as year round placements. Provides entry-level work experiences throughout the county including janitorial, clerical, landscaping, painting, child care and construction experiences.
