CPHS utilizes foster homes for stressed animals who are not handling the shelter environment well and need to be in a home environment.

Provides fostering and adoption opportunities for homeless pets. Provides necessary medical treatment and spay/neuter surgeries. This is not a shelter. Animals are placed in foster homes while adoptive homes are found.

Protects, shelters and adopts homeless animals. Assists in returning lost pets to their owners, place adoptable pets with responsible owners, aid in the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals through educational effort, and legal citations as necessary.

Offers opportunities to volunteer at the rescue. Accepts donations in the form of pet food, gift cards, or other monetary donations.

Provides temporary homes for pets of families in crisis.

Provides a full-service kennel for cats and dogs to stay when the pet's owner is experiencing a short term crisis such as an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, a medical emergency, displacement due to a natural disaster, escape from a domestic violence situation, or other such emergencies.

Foster care for pets of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault sometimes available through a partnership with the Humane Society and other local animal welfare organizations. Pet food, veterinary care, supplies available.

Promotes the welfare and humane treatment of animals and serves as an advocate on their behalf.

No-kill shelter provides a safe and healthy environment for animals. Services include adoptions, a foster program, and a low-cost spay/neuter program.
