Provides a daycare center for older adults who are not capable of full-time independent living. Services may include basic medical services, nursing services, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreation, transportation and more intensive personal care but vary by location.
Participants attend the program up to 5 days per week and include games, art, crafts, small group learning, theme days, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, and Chapel. Individuals participate at their own level of comfort and ability, and Direct Support Professionals assist as needed.

You will meet with a professional staff and your team to develop a plan that establishes your goals and objectives for the year. You will participate in a safe, comfortable, well supervised and supportive location. You will be supported in increasing your everyday living skills, such as, social, leisure, academic, computer, fitness, horticulture and cooking skills. You will participate in community activities, such as bowling, parks, movies, restaurants, shopping, museums and theater. By doing this, you will learn more skills and build positive relationships with people in the community. You will participate in activities facilitated by staff to further develop your communication and social skills, so that you can develop new friendships, as well as improve your interpersonal skills. Area Agencies on Aging provides local services, act as advocates, and generally assist older citizens to remain active in their communities. They operate under guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. Services include: - Advocacy - Support and representation, administratively and legislatively, for the needs of older adults as a group or individually. - PA MEDI - assistance with health insurance benefit concerns, appeals, benefit applications. - Employment Services - subsidized employment for training purposes.
