- School Based Outpatient Services provide mental health services and counseling to children and adolescents within their home school. - Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) are medically prescribed, in-home, intensive, and individualized mental health services. IBH Services are time-limited, goal directed interventions focused on children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance and are best served with IBHS treatment teams working both one-on-one with the child as well as with their families, to assist them in developing the skills to manage problematic behaviors.

School-based outreach is a prevention program initiated in cooperation with local school districts to provide crisis and short-term interventions for at risk children and families in each school district community. Services available through this program include assessment, intervention, individual student contacts, small group activities, family home visits, crisis intervention, summer programming, and referrals to other community resources and services. School-Based Outreach caseworkers serve as liaisons between the school, families and community resources and serve on each schoolâs Student Assistance Program team. The goal of the program is to quickly identify and resolve child/family issues/concerns before they escalate into formal referrals into one of the child welfare or other service system.

Provides students with individualized lesson plans to determine each child's level of inclusion. Offers special resource room support.

It is offered to school districts throughout the Commonwealth. Beacon Light Behavioral Health System has partnered with various school districts to offer mental health treatment in this flexible Group & Individual Behavioral Health model.

Brings together family and friends to support and help parents and caregivers develop a plan for the future of their family. Helps youth to take responsibility for their actions and gives families decision-making power in issues that affect them. Provides trained facilitators to provide a safe space to ensure every voice is heard to: A) Enable youth to take control of their own lives B) Help youth to create a hopeful plan for the future C) Build collaborative relationships with service providers

Community based alternative to traditional outpatient therapy. A therapist is placed on site at schools to meet the mental health and drug and alcohol treatment needs of students. Includes individual, family and group counseling.

Provides a program to make sure homeless youth have access to appropriate education while removing barriers that homeless children face. Its goal is have the educational process continue as uninterrupted as possible while the children are in homeless situations. Some of the other objectives of our program are to inform school districts of their responsibilities to homeless children and youth, increase awareness about the needs of homeless children, explain current legislation and policies and provide practical tips for working with homeless children.

Uses basketball as a gathering point of recreation, education, and career opportunities for growth and sustained success for community youth. Connects participants to resources and information to help fulfill their needs and goals. Provides wraparound support services at partnered schools and in the community.

Provides outpatient counseling within the school districts in which the service is licensed to serve. This service is intended to provide minimal disruption to the child's educational day, yet still provide needed treatment without concerns of transportation to a clinic.

Provides resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success.

Provides foster care, community residential rehabilitation services, and respite services designed to provide an opportunity for parent/ guardians and children to have some time apart.

The LIU's Lighthouse Academy delivers intensive levels of intervention to challenged students in the initial stages of their school careers in order to prepare them educationally and emotionally for a successful transition back to their neighborhood schools. The Academy provides a culture of success and optimism in which students learn to manage and control their own behaviors, to gain the required academic skills, and to successfully function at home, school, and in the community. All of the activities of the academy occur within the context of positive behavior management strategies. The academy operates within the positive belief that students, parents, educators and therapists can work together toward the achievement of individualized student goals.

In cooperation with the Hazleton Area School District, this program is designed to serve elementary and middle school students in the school, home and community. A Team of Mental Health Professionals work collaboratively with educational staff to ensure clinical, case management, and educational needs are met. Services provided include education and intake, individual and family therapy, group therapy, educational support, consultation with school personnel and crisis intervention. The service is provided at Drums Elementary/Middle School, Heights Terrace Elementary/Middle School, West Hazleton Elementary/Middle School, Freeland Elementary/Middle School, Valley Elementary/Middle School, Hazleton High School/Maple Manor/Career Center, Hazle Township Early Learning Center, and Halzeton Elementary School.
