Provides in-home support for a minimum of six months to help children and family understand their permanency goal. Allows children to talk about and understand their past, helps address issues and needs of the child and family, and provides education for the family regarding the child welfare system, the court system, and also the permanency goal of the child.

Provides services such as home studies, education and post placement supervision/reports for families pursuing a foster to adopt placement, domestic private, or international adoption. An affiliate of the PA Statewide Adoption Network. Provides post adoption/post permanency services to any adoptive or permanent kinship family in the area.

Identify and enlist individuals and couples who are willing to provide a permanent home and new legal parentage for children who have been relinquished for adoption.

This program prepares interested and qualified families to become adoptive parents for children identified by the State-Wide Adoption Network (SWAN) adoption becomes the permanent goal when reunification of the child and the biological family is not possible. As a SWAN affiliate, Friendship House offers all components of the adoptive process including family and child profiles, child-specific recruitment, child preparation and post-adoptive services.

Provides programs to increase the number of families available to foster/adopt children. Offers pre-service training, family profiles, and ongoing placement support. Also provides post adoption services and outpatient therapy.
