With the belief that parents are the most influential and first teachers of their children, our Family Development Coordinators stand ready to help set goals and meet developmental milestones. All programs are focused on supporting families in developing parenting skills, enhancing communication, school readiness, and household management – everything families need to stay together, healthy, and strong!

Offers pre-natal classes covering fetal development, nutrition, safety, and what to expect during pregnancy, labor and delivery. Also offers parenting classes covering topics like baby basics, nutrition, budgeting, and discipline. Currently conducting parenting classes individually by telephone and Zoom.

Offers free linguistically and culturally-appropriate health services, education, and social services to pregnant women, children ages 0 to 3, and their families. Services include weekly home visits providing education and support services during pregnancy through baby's third birthday; education and family support services for families with eligible children at state licensed child care center; services to children with disabilities; and connections to resources for healthcare, housing, and emergency supplies.

Parents and Children Together (PACT) helps parents learn how to use positive discipline and to set age-appropriate expectations for their children. Parents of children in the home who are risk for abuse and /or neglect, who are trying to regain custody of their children and parents with cognitive disabilities who have children, and who may need support services or specialized parental training.

Provides pregnancy and sexual health services.

Offers family, couples, and individual counseling. Also provides anger management, art and play therapy for children, and parenting training in a group therapy format.

Offers a two-year program for single parent families in Allegheny County. Provides monthly workshops on the topics of financial literacy, self-care, holistic healing, career and education counseling, informal mental health support, and information about early childhood development and restorative parenting practices.

Services Include: Christian counseling: family, individual, parental, marital, pre-marital, for concerns such as depression, anxiety, parent-child conflicts, grief and loss, establishing positive relationships, etc. Educational Programs: Seminars and short courses on topics such as effective parenting, improving personal and family relationships, depression, loss & grief, sexual abuse, some addictions, recognizing mental health problems in employees/students, conflict resolution, anxiety, etc.

Provides childproofing home essentials, products, and information to caregivers in Bucks County. Specifically for children age 0-7

Monthly workshops designed to equip parents and caregivers with the skills needed to advocate for their children, focusing on areas like educational rights, mental health support, and community engagement.

Offers family support programs and services including Alternative Response Housing Initiative; family reunification; fatherhood program; Parent Cafe; parent education workshops; Parents as Teachers home visitation; and Pottstown Early Action for Kindergarten Readiness (PEAK).

Provides pregnancy test with verification, ultrasound pregnancy confirmation, education about pregnancy and infant care, Lay counseling as needed with parents, boyfriend, or husband, ongoing personal support, post-abortion Lay counseling, and referrals (for medical care, social services, legal aid, and adoption, housing, and foster home care). Assists with planning for future and other assistance depending on circumstances. Offers material assistance with maternity and baby needs. Provides assistance for new Dads: education, mentoring, and STI Testing and treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Provides support to mothers living within the community and to women who successfully discharge from the maternity home with opportunity to participate in a free, 12 week program that will help increase parents self-care practices through a positive strength based approach looking at experiences from their childhood to improve relationship with their child. Monthly support offers a meal and childcare.

Provides resources to clients to assist with interpersonal skills, proper hygiene practices, obtaining identification, obtaining a GED and other educational goals, resume building, self-esteem workshops, mental health awareness, recovery awareness, parenting skills, nutritional training, and budgeting.

In collaboration with schools, daycare centers, congregations and institutions, JFCS offers services such as educational programs, parenting classes, peer mediation and trainings to provide youth and teens with skills and coping mechanisms to manage the myriad challenges of childhood, adolescence and parenting.

Offers positive parenting program in private, in-home sessions or a group setting. Gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children's behavior and prevent problems developing.

Provides a four-to-six-week family bonding and wellness program that builds on families’ strengths, develops positive parenting skills, and promotes family fun activities to improve the quality of life for children and families in Easton.

Offers pregnancy tests, ultrasound, incentive-based parenting classes, confidential counseling, and support.

Offers support and assistance to expectant women and parents of children up to the age of two. Services available include pregnancy testing, supportive counseling, and educational materials/classes on pregnancy and parenting. Provides baby-care items including diapers, formula, and clothing.

Evidence-based parenting education program provided in-home, one-on-one. Option for groups.

Provides family based mental health services including individual therapy (child, adolescent, adult) , family and group therapy, Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), play therapy , psychiatric evaluation and medication management , as well as Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) .

Offers free prenatal and parenting classes. Diapers, car seats, baby beds, and other baby items are available to participants that meet program requirements.
