Positive Action promotes social-emotional and character skills, resulting in healthy childhood development. The program is based on the intuitive philosophy that we feel good about ourselves when we do positive actions. Its Thoughts-Actions-Feelings Circle (TAF) illustrates how this works in life: our thoughts lead to actions and those actions lead to feelings about ourselves which in turn lead to more thoughts.

The OBRA Waiver Program is designed to provide support for adults diagnosed with Autism. The Advocate will provide services at the home and community and work on targeted skills (life skills, social skills, etc.).

Provides support for individuals who live at home. The agency matches appropriate staff with each person, working closely with the individual and their circle of support to develop and monitor delivered services. Home based supports can range from assisting individuals with household chores, cooking, teaching daily living and social skills, or helping them to get involved and connected with their community. Staff may also take individuals to doctor appointments, grocery shopping or to social events in the community.

Provides a safe inclusive space where children can explore their creativity, socialize with peers, and engage in activities that promote cognitive and emotional development. Connects families with essential services and resources, including therapy options, educational support, and community programs. Provides parent-to-parent training, IEP training, Autism training, ADHD training, Special Needs training, kids at play, paint and play, and family discussions.

PATHS® is a comprehensive program for promoting emotional and social competencies and reducing aggression and behavior problems in elementary school-aged children while simultaneously enhancing the educational process in the classroom.

Our residential program offers alternatives for living on campus and in the community. Melmark offers indoor and outdoor pools, a covered riding arena, gymnasium, multi-service recreation center, and interactive playgrounds. Students visit surrounding communities regularly for shopping, exercise, and entertainment.

The program holds a variety of Social & Recreational events for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program offers a variety of activities that appeal to the many interests and abilities of our program participants. It also provides fun, friendship, social interaction, community inclusion, social skill building opportunities as well as respite to families and care-takers. The program builds and fosters relationships with institutions of higher learning, churches, and other community clubs.

Provides specialized training and supports for both families and professionals who care for children and adults with challenging behaviors. Works with an individual and their care team to implement positive support strategies. Services can be provided at home, childcare, preschool, school, church, day program or residential living arrangement or in any setting in which supports are needed. Provides professional hair care services and hygiene products to youth in CYF care or aging out. Through the My Best Self Program, youth have the opportunity to participate in social skills workshops and hair care trainings with the goal of empowering each youth to look good, feel better, and be their best self.

Youth Advocate Program (YAP) offers a Behavioral Health Program that serves children and families in the home, school and the community. YAP offers a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, Mobile Therapist and/or Therapeutic Staff Support Services to work as a team with the family, school, other agencies, etc.

Weekly social skills group supporting individuals with disabilities. Group activities and light lunch. Fridays 10:15 to noon

Offering a social club for an opportunity to meet new people and to learn more about Self Advocacy, Independent Living Skills, and Workplace Readiness.
