Participants experience the exact same recreational activities as a child would without disabilities. Structured thematic days include: Music Therapy Fitness Swimming Therapeutic Horseback Riding Visits from specialists; including a reptile expert, petting zoo owner, magician, ventriloquist, musical entertainer, etc. Games and Activities Arts and Crafts Snack Time The recreational activities focus on each child's needs in the areas of socialization and communication skills. The staff to child ratio is 1-1 or 1-2. All sessions are supervised by professionals that work with people with disabilities--educators, therapists, social workers, etc. A nurse is present at all programs to address any medical needs.
