Many of the parents have foster and adoptive children who have experienced early trauma from neglect, abuse and abandonment. These children are at-risk for mental health treatment, involvement with juvenile justice system and out of home placement. The group's focus is to empower parents with knowledge, resources and empathy. The group welcomes professionals' attendance to aid in understanding the dynamics of parenting these children.
