Provides services targeting older adults, including counseling, case management, information and referral to other services. Provides benefits assistance to help people ensure that they are receiving all benefits for which they are eligible. Also provides prime time clubs, social clubs for older adults based in parish churches.

Connects individuals to resources, including medical care, psychiatric support, youth and family opportunities, and more. Provides support for LGBTQIA+ individuals and information on events, organizations, and establishments of interest to members of the community. Advocates for community education, and support.

Offers a variety of programs for seniors, including:AARP driving course, light breakast, lunch daily, medicare and health insurance counseling, transportation to and from, income tax help, support groups, and entitlement help. ALso provides rent rebate energy assistance.

Offer physical exercise and/or social interaction. Weekly wellness classes and social events. Special membership rates allow seniors to enjoy the YMCA low cost or no cost.

Autism Awareness – NEPA is a not for profit community organization, whose goal is to promote awareness and to support community programs for individuals with Autism in Luzerne County. This event is being conducted under the auspices of the Luzerne Foundation. Grants are made available every year to support the ongoing provision and enhancement of community programs.

Offers in-person and virtual opportunities for older adults to meet and participate in activities that suit their interests and abilities. These include exercise, crafts, games, lectures, wellness programs, and social opportunities.

Offers encouragement through connection and support that exists within the Family of Survivors and believes in the importance of providing information and assistance to caregivers, healthcare professionals, friends, and family, as well as the survivor.

Offers group exercise classes and aquatic programs for older adults that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes, social events, and volunteer activities. Also offers Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, water fitness and Pickleball, Social Events/Group Programs, Special events, group outings and other activities. Provides health education workshops, lunch & learns, and screenings throughout the year.

Provides an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to meet and socialize with others through a variety of companionable activities.

Provides opportunities for individuals to participate in a wide variety of social and recreational activities. Emphasis is on community-based activities. Transportation is available for most activities. Includes Summer and special vacaion programs.

Provides social recreation, including group activities, for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Hosts LGBQTIA Pride events, including annual Pride Picnic and Pride Parade and Fest. Major Pride events are family-friendly and open to all ages. Straight friends, family, and supporters are welcome.

Provides a peer-run resource center connecting the public to community resources and Workforce/Employment which includes employment skills, career counseling, high school equivalency assistance and reentry assistance. Also Offers a variety of counseling services and support groups for those in recovery from substance use disorders.

Provides a singles Christian ministry with a network of support groups including divorce recovery, single parenting, professionals, mature adults, young adults, never marrieds, etc. Also offers social activities, workshops, seminars, grief share, and a monthly newsletter.

Takes place in the evenings during the week or during the day on weekends. Serves individuals in the surrounding Pottsville and Tamaqua areas in Schuylkill County, who are Senior Citizens that can no longer drive a car and need transportation to get out and have some fun socializing or get some shopping done. Trips are offered once a week on different days alternating between the Pottsville and Tamaqua locations. Seating is limited on the vans and we take reservations for the trips on a first come, first serve basis. All transportation for the trips is free and staffing is provided for any assistance that is needed. Trips include: Local shopping malls Stores Area restaurants Picnics Craft nights Movie nights Local concerts Theatre productions The Hollywood Casino

A way for individuals to spend time with their friends in a social setting. Offers a great opportunity to gain social skills within the community and provides each individual with the feeling of self worth and independence. Currently there are thirteen active groups providing activities in different areas of Schuylkill County. Each group participates in one activity each month. Activities include: Bowling Movies Local fairs Dining out Mini golf Variety of interesting adventures In addition to each group's monthly activity, there is an opportunity once a month for a large group activity. These activities are open to all groups and usually are activities such as dances, plays, amusement parks, tours, etc.

Operates as a day program offering supervised activities in the community that include opportunities for socialization, community engagement, and volunteerism.

Open door policy recreation and games with pool, cards, chess, and checkers.

Provides educational programs, fitness and wellness programs, social clubs, and support groups recreational programs for older adults.

Offers an Early-Stage Social Engagement Program that provides a fun and comfortable way for people living in the early stage of Alzheimer's or other dementia to get out, get active and get connected with one another through a variety of social events and community-based activities determined by individual needs and interests of the participants and that promote social interaction and companionship.

Offers an array of Social/Recreation Events that are adapted for our clients. Each client and one guide may attend free of charge.
