Promotes volunteerism and community service.

Serves as a clearinghouse of information on volunteerism in Lancaster County. Provides the following services: - Administers Get Connected, a web-based volunteer matching application for individuals, nonprofit agencies and corporations - Administers Corporate Volunteer Network - Recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies - Publishes bi-weekly newspaper column advocating volunteerism - Promotes volunteer recognition - Publishes directories listing volunteer opportunities - Provides volunteer management assistance for agencies - Administers the Student Volunteer Program which recruits and refers students to summer opportunities - Recruits volunteers for educational entities, e.g. Service Learning, Book Challenge, H.O.S.T.S., etc. - Serves as link to national organizations addressing volunteerism

Connects people with opportunities that serve to build the capacity for effective local volunteering. Promotes volunteering and participates in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers.

Provides a forum for leadership development. Participants learn more about the region, education, social services, and culture, among other topics.

Recruits and trains individuals to volunteer at mobile distributions sites, help load the truck on distribution days, and lift boxes that can weigh up to 50lbs.

Offers an online community calendar where people can sign up for volunteer opportunities. Also provides recruitment solutions for nonprofits, as well as event planning for corporate groups.

Provides volunteer opportunities with Emergency Services, Thrift Store, Family Supportive Services, etc. Also allows those with court ordered community service hours to fulfill their obligations (except for sex offenders).

Opportunities to volunteer for Faith Centre's thrift store, boutique, and coffee corner.

Provides various library services, including book loan, audio books, music CD's, DVD and ebooks.

Provides the client choice food pantry, and a free clothing store. Clothing store also distributes personal care items as they are available.

Provides assistance with daily tasks and encourage participants to stay active and connected. Volunteers also provide needed respite for caregivers so they can run errands, take a needed break or tend to themselves, their families and other commitments. Recruits volunteer Adults 55 or older who want to share their experience and compassion for others to become a Senior Companion. Senior Companions receive a small tax-free financial stipend, training, and transportation cost (mileage) reimbursement.

Recruits and places volunteers for various services within the organization.

Offers adult literacy education. The program includes adult basic education, English as a Second Language (ESL), high school equivalency GED instruction, health literacy, computer literacy, workforce development programs, career counseling, support service counseling, college access counseling, workshops, and volunteer training.

Provides holistic support services for immigrants and refugees. Assists elders, adults, and families on employment support, digital literacy, Digital Navigator helpline, naturalization assistance, public benefits, health insurance, intimate partner violence, ESL, health access, information and referral, case management, advocacy, community programs, and collaboration with other health care and social service providers. Provides voter registration, voter education, and voter protection supports.

An organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Matches adults, age 55 and older, with volunteer opportunities that suit their skills, interests, and availability. Volunteers can receive AmeriCorp Member Benefits during term of service including living allowance, money for college/trade school, loan deferment, professional development, and an alumni network.

Fosters relationships between individuals, community leaders, health care providers, human service personnel, business representatives, and government leaders in order to address the physical, social, mental, and environmental health needs of Tioga County. Services include a comprehensive online resource directory, drug and alcohol prevention education, summer recreation programs, transportation coordination, Family Engagement Initiative facilitation, and fiscal sponsorships.
