Wraparound services are medically prescribed intensive mental health services designed to provide supportive, time-limited, and individualized planned behavioral health interventions involving the child or adolescent, the family, and the treatment team. Services are designed to help the child and family develop skills so that the needs of the child are being met and the child exhibits more appropriate behaviors while being maintained in the home. Wraparound services are provided in homes, schools, and in the community as prescribed in the evaluation.

Offers trauma counseling services to children, families, groups and organizations. The Connections program is designed to assist children and youth ages 2 ½ -21 years who are dealing with a trauma or loss. Children who have experienced significant trauma through abuse, loss, or witnessing violence face unique emotional challenges. Friendship House collaborates with the Childrenâs Advocacy Center and other local organizations to be prepared to offer immediate assistance to these children. We provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as family support groups. Our trauma therapists utilize Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) which are both evidence-based programs. Offers Parent Child Interaction Therapy, (PCIT); treatment for a young child, ages 2-7 years old, that focuses on enhancing and improving the parent-child relationship. You and your family will meet privately with a professionally credentialed clinician who will listen to your concerns. The clinician will help you and your family identify areas in your life and ways you relate to each other that you would like to change. You, your family and the clinician will develop a plan to achieve these changes. The plan will usually include the clinician meeting regularly with your child individually as well as meeting with you as a family. You and your family will be supported by the clinician as you take actions to bring about these changes. The clinician will arrange for your child to see a PATH child psychiatrist, if indicated. You and your child will meet with the child psychiatrist who will complete an evaluation and may prescribe medication for your child, if indicated. You may continue to see both the child psychiatrist for medication appointments and see the clinician for therapy.
