Centre Safe - Counseling and Advocacy

Autonomous groups of individuals who share a common problem or concern, either directly or through their partners and families, who meet together on a voluntary basis to fulfill a need, overcome a disability or cope with a crisis. Members of mutual support groups share their experiences, strengths and hopes and rely on one another for emotional support, information and resources. Included are professionally-facilitated groups, faith-based and secular 12-step models with or without professional participation, groups that use a set of guidelines prepared by a national organization or headquarters, and groups that have no professional participation and/or no specifically-structured format. Also provides individuals with information, referrals and advocacy to community agencies. Provides accompaniment and legal advocacy during criminal and civil court hearings.

Williamsport Vet Center - Counseling and Referral

Provides community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of counseling services. Individual and group counseling for Veterans, service members, and their families. Marriage counseling, family counseling for military related issues, bereavement counseling, and military sexual trauma counseling. Also, provides outreach, education and referral to VA or community events. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are Veterans themselves, are experienced and prepared to discuss the experiences had during service.

Women's Resource Center - Support Services

Provides ongoing empowerment counseling, tailored to individual needs, to victims, children and significant others. This includes crisis, economic and educative counseling. Additionally, support groups are held regularly for adults or teens who are survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. The Barbara J. Hart Justice Center provides legal assistance to program participants, including representation, consultation and court preparation. Services include safety planning, Protection From Abuse orders, child custody, child support, divorce, nuisance ordinances from landlords, evictions, consumer debt, banking and tax issues, immigration issues, and employment cases.

Family Support Line of Delaware County - Family Support Line of Delaware County

Offers a range of services to children who have been sexually abused. We offer free individual and family therapy, as well as psycho educational and support groups. Additionally, we run the Delaware County Children's Advocacy Center where children referred by Children & Youth Services, law enforcement agencies, or the District Attorney's office are interviewed when abuse is suspected. We provide abuse prevention programs for children, teens, and adults, as well as specialized professional training.

Centre Safe - Counseling for Sexual Assault Victims

Programs that provide crisis, short-term and/or ongoing counseling for people who are coping with the emotional trauma of being forced to engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual acts without their consent. Included are military sexual trauma (MST) counseling programs offered by facilities operated by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, which address the needs of veterans who have been traumatized by having experienced assault or repeated threatening sexual harassment which occurred while serving on active duty in the military. Counseling and support may be offered in a variety of settings and may include individual, conjoint, family and group therapy sessions for the survivor and/or significant others.

Lancaster Vet Center - Lancaster Vet Center

Provides readjustment and transition counseling to veterans of military campaigns. Offers confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Services include counseling for needs such as depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). Transitions of PA - Sexual Assault Counseling

Provide supportive listening and short-term counseling to help explore and consider options. They also provide information and referrals to other agencies where more help is available. Child care may be provided while parents are receiving services. Counseling is also available for victims under 18 whose lives have been affected by sexual assault and/or violence in the home. There are support groups and special activities for younger children.
