Provides: A) Outpatient Individual Therapy: Traditional one on one hourly counseling focuses on issues such as family of interpersonal relationships, stress, anxiety and other emotional concerns in conjunction with chemical dependency (CD). B) Outpatient Group Therapy: Weekly group therapy focuses on strategies for maintaining a sober, healthy lifestyle and developing a supportive external environment for recovery. This group also assists in identifying and resolving emotional/behavioral issues that could lead to relapse. Clients may continue with aftercare following treatment. C) Outpatient Family Therapy: This program provides the family with education and support regarding the disease of chemical dependency (CD). We believe that families become ill when one or more members are chemically dependent and that the illness will progress without treatment. The program's goal is to offer awareness and alternatives to the frustration and confusion that results from the disease of chemical dependency (CD).

Offers a program that allows for each client to be assigned to a horse for the duration of their stay to ensure each client's needs are matched appropriately with a horse that will allow them to be successful in equine activities. While learning to ride and care for a horse, a client can learn to increase their attention and focus, sensory perception, communication skills, emotional vulnerability, confidence, and self-esteem. The horse activities are taught and supervised by our highly–trained Ranch staff and therapeutically processed with Malibu’s Clinical staff.

Together, St. Mary and PRS is focused on meeting patient and community needs, including coordination of behavioral services (not medical) for anyone who is in need of drug relapse prevention. This includes department of corrections, recovery houses, behavioral health centers, physician practices, and individual patients who self-refer. Through PRS, patients have access to Medication-assisted treatment therapy, case management, therapeutic programs, drug and alcohol counseling.

Provides inpatient treatment for individuals facing substance abuse challenges. Services include detoxification, therapy, education, relapse prevention, recovery house placement, and employment resources.

Provides a voluntary treatment program for men and women aged 18 and older dealing with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Offers structured treatment activities, individualized to meet the needs of each person entering the program. Individuals can expect to participate in group therapy multiple times per day, receive regular contact with a psychiatrist and sessions with a counselor. Stays vary in length from 21-90 days as determined by the clinical team. The focus is to develop skills through education and therapy to prevent relapse and build a foundation for the individual’s recovery journey to sobriety. Several medication assisted treatment (MAT) options, including Vivitrol and Suboxone, are available to treat substance use disorders while at Gage House.
