For 100 years United Way of Lancaster County has helped make change happen across Lancaster County by providing opportunities for community members to give, advocate, and volunteer. In addition to offering a 2-1-1 information and referral service, a volunteer center, and free tax preparation services for low income workers, United Way fosters collaborations between nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, schools, faith-based groups, businesses, and government. United Way and its supporters create lasting change in Lancaster County, achieving results that no single organization or sector could accomplish alone.

Supports and facilitates research into effective treatments for Nephrotic Syndrome. Advocates for federal funding and provides support, connections, and education for patients and their families. Also recruits patient support and advocacy volunteers.

Provides grants to non-profit (501c3) organizations in the area for collaborative, outcome-focused projects that address health issues affecting residents in Summit Health's service areas.

Hosts several events throughout the year; Associated celebrations encourage community. Each event assists in funding youth programming as well as various civic community projects.

Offers guidance, services, and resources for individuals and businesses who have ideas for new business opportunities or need help to expand.

Provides community grants to applicants from the community who wish to improve the quality of life for people living in the Twin Tiers region. Charitable funds and grants are awarded on an ongoing basis for a lasting delivery of service to meet an identified community need.

Accepts financial donations in support of the Somerset County Mobile Food Bank.

United Way of Berks County helps people in need, addresses the county’s critical issues and makes the community a better place for everyone. Their work is centered on raising and distributing funds to support a vital network of health and human services, as well as tackling the community’s key issues and working towards solutions in the areas of Education, Health, Financial Stability and Safety Net Services.

Offers research information in the areas of cancer, immunology, and vaccines. Participates in and hosts a number of community events in order to fundraise for the research conducted.

Opportunities to donate to the Ethel Beaver fund which helps foster parents offer the foster children the same advantages as other children. 100% of funds go to things including summer camp fees, proms, graduations, school activities, etc for the children.

Enhances the quality, coordination, and planning within the criminal and juvenile justice systems to facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime and to increase the safety of communities. Offers grants to organizations through a wide variety of programs. Provides victims' compensation for individual victims of crime.

Provides general funding to non-profit community agencies, volunteer opportunities, and information and referral services.

Provides low-interest loan to local businesses. Assists with Land and building costs, machinery & equipment costs and working capital. Funds up to 90% of the eligible project cost, or $250,000 whichever is less.
