Provides Business and Economic Development, Community Planning and Development. Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and Economic Development Administration (EDA) grants, Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP), government contracting/procurement, international marketing/exporting, business loans and transportation planning.

Consists of a collaboration of dedicated entities that together is the single source for action and information that helps businesses, education and government create a flourishing commerce environment and build stronger communities.

Advocates for citywide businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Serves as the liaison between the private/non-profit sector and government.

Works to revitalize Erie's downtown by improving its image, business climate, physical environment, and design. Addresses downtown concerns of economic development, design, and promotions.

Provides services, loans, and grants. Serves as the local governing bodies in the areas of housing, revitalization of distressed areas, planning, workforce development, improvement of impoverished areas, human services, urban, and rural redevelopment.

Provides economic development services to help retain and create employment opportunities in the county.
