Provides services and supports projects related to Lions International's five global causes: vision, hunger, diabetes, environment, and childhood cancer. Includes supporting research and assistance for individuals with hearing impairments; collecting used eyeglasses, hearing aids, and electronic items (cell phones, etc); conducting vision screenings; providing insight to diabetes care and prevention; promoting blood drives; and promoting coordination with local emergency management agencies.

Provides scholarships for non-traditional students and supports other nonprofit organizations working to advance the status of women.

Strives to increase the influence of the farm home and community involvement of farm women. Promotes better living and working conditions on the farms of Pennsylvania. Offers annual scholarships to college students in the areas of agriculture, forestry, and culinary arts.

Community Action Groups

Offers volunteers the opportunity join a global organization and serve the children and community in Wilkes-Barre. Volunteers meet monthly.

Offers a Veterans Service Organization made up of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in military service.

Supports individuals with disabilities, as well as other community programs. Provides adults living with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative, leadership skills and to serve their communities.

Provides services to the community, including a scholarship for high school students, youth basketball programming, drug awareness presentations, and services for veterans.

Offers programs and assistance to individuals with sight impairments.

Provides a one time only assistance focusing on the following needs: energy assistance, housing and medical assistance. People needing help may call or submit a written application to the organization. All requests are evaluated in confidentiality. The organization also attempts to put applicants in contact with additional organizations that can assist them.

Develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

Offers opportunities to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service.

Serves as an organization of women who strive to advance women's leadership roles through volunteer action and collaboration. Offers training to develop skills in areas such as public speaking, public relations, budgeting, fundraising, advocacy, event coordination, marketing, and team building.

Accepts donations of used eyeglasses.

Raise funds for Musser Park renovations. Also supplement the city's services maintaining the park.

Provides assistance for vision and dental exams/ eqiupment, scholarship funding, community beautification projects, and winter clothing drives.

Provides members the opportunity to actively participate in the community and network professionally, with the goal of attracting, retaining, and supporting young talent in Lancaster County.

Business and professional leaders united who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Focus on giving of themselves in both time and talent. Through annual fundraisers the organization supports many local non-profits. Meetings are held regularly. New membership submissions welcome and encouraged.

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and , in particular, to encourage and foster: FIRST - The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service; SECOND - High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society; THIRD - The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his personal, business, and community life; FOURTH- The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
