United in Recovery is the word we use to promote our work. Each coalition continues its work in a targeted way in each of its communities. But together, we are United in Recovery. Our mission is to bring diverse organizations and individuals together to educate, change policies, expand access and improve treatment for opiod addication.

Supports the Northeast Community Springboard Coalition and Project Peace. NCSC is a group of concerned citizens who give their time to prevent and reduce the use of alcohol and other substances by youth in their community. Project Peace is an afterschool program in the Reading School District and the ILEAD Charter School for youth whose mission is to educate others about the dangers of drugs and violence and to increase peace in their community.

Provides a hotline, medical, legal and emergency housing advocacy. Connects survivors Domestic Violence emergency shelters.

Municipal/current planning provides a multitude of technical and review services to the 72 municipalities that comprise York County. The technical services cover a wide variety of topics from ordinance development to flood plain identification. The review services cover plan reviews, ordinance amendments, sewage modules and others. The municipal/current planning department has the resources and the expertise to provide planning consultation services to municipalities. Short term services can be provided at no charge, and long term services can be provided on a contractual basis. County/long range planning is primarily responsible for the on-going development and implementation of the York County comprehensive plan. Transportation planning/traffic engineering provides planning and engineering services that are available to all the municipalities within the county. Aims to continuously support, monitor, work and raise awareness on mental and physical health and safety issues of Lycoming County youth. The task force is comprised of student representatives from the nine Lycoming County school districts.

Working with the local community, the Schuylkill United Way raises and distributes funds to 15 partner human service agencies in Schuylkill County.

Provides comprehensive eye exams, vision screenings, and free prescription eyeglasses to children and adults who lack access to affordable vision care.

This program ensures that services are developed in collaboration with the child/adolescent, family, mental health system, the school and all other agencies involved in the child's or adolescent's life. CASSP meeting are designed to help individuals, families, agencies and systems determine which resources/supports for youth/adolescent and families should be explored or recommended. The process includes family members, the youth/adolescent, service providers, and all other parties that are involved with or have a relationship with the youth and the family. CASSP offers recommendations for services, allows for open communication and dialogue and partnership with the team members.

Prevents youth violence, delinquency and drug use, and promotes positive youth development and strong families.

Provides a coordinated community response toward ending domestic violence. Programs and presentations include Dating Violence Education (for adolescents), Domestic Violence Education (for adults), and Bystander Education (for everyone). All presentations can be tailored to fit the needs of a group or organization.
