Monroe County Conservation District - Technical Services

Offers a wide variety of technical services and assistance to Monroe County residents. Provides assistance with soils and wetlands mapping, aerial photography interpretation, prime farmland, topographic and floodplain mapping. Services include review and approval of PA Code Title 25 Chapter 102: Erosion and Sediment Control (E&S) and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permits for Construction. MCCD also administers Chapter 105: Waterways & Wetlands Management General Permits for water obstructions and encroachments. The District administers both Chapter 102 and 105 PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) delegated programs internally; including permit application, E&S review, engineer review of Post Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM), site inspections, complaint investigations and technical assistance. MCCD provides review of Timber Harvest plans, assistance with Agricultural Activities and Land use planning.
