Coordinates the management of all municipal solid waste generated in York County.

Provides water and wastewater services.

Provides a combination of drinking water, stormwater, and/or sewer conveyance services to the City of Pittsburgh and some outlying communities.

Provides for single-year and multi-year grants for the construction of drinking water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects; the construction or renovation of flood control projects; and the repair or rehabilitation of high-hazard unsafe dams.

Assists with sewer, trash, and recycling needs such as bill payment, large item pickup, and trash/refuse pickup scheduling.

Provides citizens with assistance to sewer issues and concerns. Call to report a clogged storm drain that is causing flooding.

The Bureau of Wastewater owns and operates the City of Lancaster Advanced Wastewater Treatment plant (AWWTP). Combination of residential, commercial and industrial used water discharges. Processes water from the city and portions of Manheim Township, Lancaster Township, East and West Lampeter Townships, Strasburg borough, Strasburg Township, Upper Leacock Township, West Earl Township, Manor Township, Pequea Township and East Hempfield Township.
