Provides services such as planning, operation, provision, and management assistance during large scale emergencies.

Offers assistance to municipalities to establish their own local emergency management program with a plan that will assist them when disaster strikes. Oversee emergency preparedness across the county, disaster response, and public safety.

Provides alerts about disasters, local emergencies, weather alerts, and other important information. Some alerts may include for evacuations and shelter in place instructions, and the locations of emergency evacuation shelters for the public. In addition to emergency alerts, you can sign up for weather alerts, alerts from the Philadelphia Prisons in Northeast Philadelphia, and the PES refinery in Southwest Philadelphia.

Offers city government administration, programs, and management.

Emergency support coordination and disaster preparedness information

Removes debris, damaged furniture, carpeting, sheetrock, insulation, and utilities. Reconstructs houses, from subflooring to roofs with homeowner-provided materials. Offers re-landscaping. Coordinates transportation, labor, housing, and meals for volunteers who want to help those suffering hardship as a result of a disaster. NOTE: Does not offer financial assistance.

Lycoming County maintains a combination of governmental and volunteer emergency service organizations and facilities that are capable of coping with emergencies. Emergency Management relies upon emergency operations plans, organizations, trained personnel and mutual aid agreements that enable the rapid mobilization and utilization of the total resource capabilities within the County. It maintains communications links with local and state agencies, such as the National Weather Service, the Integrated Flood Warning and Observation System, an interconnected electronic satellite system with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency in Harrisburg and all other counties in Pennsylvania, and direct radio communications with police, fire, and ambulance services.

Provides a central hub for information and services related to Hurricane Ida, including Disaster Case Management Program.

Offers shelter, clothing, food, replacement of life-sustaining medication, personal hygiene items, community resource referrals, cleaning supplies, and other disaster-related needs. Provides community disaster education presentations.

Offers glasses and hearing aids. Scures leader dogs. Provides assistance to the needy and physically handicapped. Operates several youth outreach programs. Works to improve the environment, build homes for the disabled, and provide disaster relief.

Community emergency response team.

Develops, organizes, and coordinates assistance for disaster relief from floods, fires, tornadoes, etc, or any situation causing homelessness and/or displacement.

The Emergency Management Agency protects Luzerne County's public health, safety and environment. Helps to prepare for, manage through and recover from any type of natural disaster, emergency or threat to security that may occur in Luzerne County. Assues that all residents of Luzerne County are well informed and prepared for any type of emergency they may encounter. Agency creates and develops effective emergency preparedness plans for the residents of Luzerne County.

To continue to provide cost efficient para-transit service, which addresses the recognized needs of the âtransportation disadvantagedâ population of Lackawanna County at the current level of service.

Offers disaster management and disaster preapredness information.

Consists of the County Council, which is the governing legislative body, and the County Executive, who oversees county operations, including administration/ human resources, economic development, corrections, court services, fiscal affairs, human services, public works, and the offices of the Coroner, Public Defender, Sheriff, and Solicitor.

Promotes cooperation, communication, coordination and collaboration, and fosters more effective delivery of services to communities affected by disaster.

Directs, controls, and coordinates response efforts on behalf of Schuylkill County Commissioners during a major disaster. Also assists both public and private entities in developing mitigation plans to lessen the impact of disasters, through hazardous identification and risk assessment.

The Bureau of Fire serves the City of Williamsport, the county seat for Lycoming County. One of its divisions is Operations and Prevention. Its services include, but are not limited to: fire suppression, vehicle rescue, water rescue, technical rescue, emergency medical quick response, fire inspections, fire investigations, and emergency management administration. In 2004 the Bureau was given the responsibility of administering emergency management for the City. The Bureau is responsible for the implementation of the National Incident Management System for the City, maintaining the City emergency operations plan, two emergency operations centers, six early warning sirens, and the training of all emergency operations center personnel.

Coordinates and works closely with local, state, federal and private sector groups to serve Clinton County residents when confronted with a potential for natural or technological hazards. Follows an all hazards comprehensive approach to emergency management.

Serves as the central hub for emergency disaster response for the Greater Pennsylvania Region.
