Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is a whirlwind day packed with energy, fun, support for others and a perfect amount of selfless dedication. Anyone can take part in Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes; your participation isnât measured by the dexterity or the speed you walk, but by the level of your enthusiasm and your commitment to ending diabetes. Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes was born as the result of the need to take greater action in the fight against diabetes. More than 20.8 million Americans have diabetes, with another 54-million at risk and ADA is taking steps to attack this epidemic aggressively.

Community Service has more than 500 supervised academic, athletic, community outreach and performance-oriented co-curricular programs are available in the District, from elementary school technology clubs to high school varsity sports. In addition to serving student programs, the District's facilities are utilized by thousands of community members for enrichment programs, recreation and general use. The program works with faculty, parents and students at the ten schools to promote existing service efforts, provide resources and develop new service opportunities and programs.
In order to reach children within the school setting, we have designed a dynamic series of outreach programs that bring the wonders of nature to the classroom. Perfect for the winter months, as a pre-lesson to a Riverbend field trip or simply just for fun, these lessons are hands-on and interactive, using a variety of live animals, natural artifacts and games.
Provides a wide range of workforce development services. Services include one-on-one career coaching, workforce webinar series, 10-week professional development / workforce readiness seminars, job fairs, and highering events. Assists with finding job training and certification programs, resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, job referrals, and more.

Children's Outreach Services Program (COSP) provides intensive wrap-around mental health services to children in their homes, schools, and communities. Many children need more concentrated care than traditional outpatient services can provide. Our program employs the highest quality treatment professionals to provide these additional services. Our primary goal is to allow the child and family to thrive in their homes and schools so that the need for expensive and disruptive hospitalizations or residential treatment can be avoided.
